20+ hours later and I’ve reached level 30! That’s a wrap on @marathonthegame.bungie.net until launch day. Will update my review with more thoughts after significantly more playtime.

Yeah, I don’t think there’s any shame in enjoying the 6s and 7s out there. They are flawed games, but nowhere near not worth playing. 🙂
I reviewed Styx: Blades of Greed! If you haven’t played any of these games, they’re quite competent stealth games with plenty of drawbacks and this one’s pretty much exactly that. Check it out, via @ign.com:

Confused by this image? Don't be!
@kelslewin.bsky.social is at @panic.com playing Big Walk from @househouse.bsky.social. She'll be talking about her experience with the game on an upcoming episode of The MinnMax Show!
I can share that I have played Big Walk and will have more to say soon.
“Make bad game? Fired. Make good game? Fired. Make incredibly successful game? Believe it or not, also fired.” Original source of meme is from Parks and Recreation.
the video game industry is a mess
Gaming is nearing $61B in U.S. spending.
So why does the industry feel unstable?
I sat down with Circana’s Mat Piscatella (@matpiscatella.bsky.social) to break down:
• Hardware shortages
• Game Pass pricing
• Player & Dev churn
Clear takes. No console-war noise. 👇

Died at “war is bad.” 🪦
I think I know which org this is. 😂
I work with LLMs enough to know this post was 100% written by AI.
It was also STAR WARS and managed to fumble that. Inspiring, really.
The game you are about to play is a product of its time. It may depict the PS3, which was commonplace in society. These depictions were wrong then and are wrong today.
My finances are really strong. My bank told me I have an *outstanding* balance.
High on Life 2 review: High On Life 2 expands on the original’s best ideas, including the absurd and memorable boss fights and some neat new concepts, like the skateboarding mechanic. Unfortunately, it also takes a step backward in plenty of other areas, like its underwhelming story, even sloppier gunplay, and rough technical performance. Score: 6
Like any joke you've heard multiple times before, High on Life 2 just doesn’t land quite as well as the original.

My review of High on Life 2 (@highonlifegame.bsky.social) is live! It offers some memorable moments and funny gags, but isn't quite as much of an evolution as I had hoped. Check it out, via @ign.com:

Apart from anything else, the United States has no official language
The fourth annual "holiday" cook-off between me and @tieguytravis.bsky.social is finally live!
This year we chose Eat the Borderlands in honor of us reviewing Borderlands 4 together. And my good buddy Paul even makes a cameo appearance. 🐾

I guess we can’t actually know who is right here without knowing what mechanically is happening.
Did he just learn as the player, or is he having his piano skills upgraded via skill points spent by some theoretical player?
But he also retains the skills, like being able to shred on the piano. That’s definitely meta progression!
Groundhog Day would be a Roguelite, because he remembers previous runs and thereby gets “stronger” with each loop.
50 First Dates is a true Roguelike because she loses her memory with each new run.
I haven't watched any of our Review interviews we started doing, but I had to watch this one because I miss @danstapleton.bsky.social and he's one of my favorite humans and I'm glad he still freelancing with us.
Also X-Cat aka Mewgenics looks sick.

Huntdown: Overtime is a goofy, retro, and delightfully violent roguelike.
