As much as the fresh berries were tasty, it was an ongoing battle to keep them out of our yard when we lived in Oregon. Pesky plants for sure.

I really didn't think it was possible for me to be less proud to be in the USA, yet here we are...
π Do tell?
Oh look, more reasons for me to dislike Substsck.
On the way down to NYC with my wife to see a theater production. I think it's been 25 years or so since I've been here, and my first time as an adult in any case.
We're only staying the one night but hopefully will be able to grab a few slices of pizza while we are there!
I've loved my deck, I can play 95% of what I want. Installing non steam games takes a bit of extra work but for the most part works pretty well. I haven't even set my old desktop back up over the last 2 years. I know I could get a docks and stuff but really just using it handheld has been fine.
They stopped manufacturing the LCD version entirely, and they had already dropped two of the storage levels so once those are gone the OLED is all that will be available until they come out with a 2nd generation.
That does seem to be common with a lot of the red pigmented apples sadly. Still impressive while it lasts at least!
I wonder if it will keep through fermentation or not!

Opal is by far my favorite grocery store apple.
Meet Diane Flynt, the first lady of Virginia cider. It's been a while since we published a cider story, we hope you enjoy it!

I'm about to move up less than an hour away from Eve's orchard, definitely looking forward to trying more of their ciders!
The control bluesky gives us for blocking/muting/ignoring stuff like that is one of the best things about it.
I really didn't expect EA to find a way to become even worse, but here we are.
Bioware going with them was really a terrible decision.
The only time I want a video is if it's something that is conducive to video format, otherwise I'm definitely not watching a video. Don't care if it's news, video games, or how to's. If I need a video I'll be specially looking for one, otherwise give me text and images!
We're moving up to the Southern Tier of NY in a few weeks!
The main thing I'll miss about being in PA is knowing I was in the same area as @chuckwendig.bsky.social
But the NY apples and cider, they are a'calling!
Beautiful!
Yesssssss
I wrote my own Charlie Kirk obituary, and about valuing truth over manners: www.thenation.com/article/poli...
Letβs make one thing clear from the start: Charlie Kirk was the victim of a shooting in a country where he, along with other right-wing extremist influencers, have been inciting violence for years. β Kirk is neither a martyr nor a hero, he is a cause.
And for reelecting Cuomo in NYC, they don't deserve that much credit.
He is also supporting Cuomo for NYC Mayor, so the only side he is supporting is his own.
He also donated $250,000 to the pro-Cuomo PAC "Fix the City" so don't give him too much credit.
Corn, beans, beets, & peppers.
I would argue it goes back much further to Constantine when Christianity became tied to politics for the first time. American Christian nationalism is just one of the logical end routes of that.
π
Looks like we might be moving up to the Ithaca NY area. If anyone in my network here has either a recommendation for a realtor, or would have any cider-related work possibilities I would love the assist!
I mean, all Civ games tend not to be that great until they are finalized with dlc and all the modders have gotten into it. 7 certainly seems more incomplete at launch than others but I'm not sure how much worse it relatively is than the last few.
I enjoyed it as well! My wife has read most of the books since we finished the series as well.
