double constantly spotted. at least it's not an emdash.

not to mention the constant devaluation of my OWN labor as a software engineer, which happens constantly by my immediate peers!

i just bought some cardamom at the store. they didnβt ask to see my driver's license since iβm a father
I'm trying to figure out the protocol for telling this realtor that the AI generated pictures of the house make it really hard to actually tell if the listing is good or not.
the ceiling looks like it's melting ma'am, do you think I'm stupid?
twin peaks title card (road leading to woodsy mountains coated in fog with a "WELCOME TO TWIN PEAKS sign on the right of the road") but instead of TWIN PEAKS in all caps the overlay says "new Bedford" with only the B capitalized
also it's always been annoying to me when i mention doing improv and then everyone around me makes a "yes, and" joke but maybe actually the next time some fucking guy comes and negates the plot i already established, i should give a quick improv primer in the most miss rachel tone i can muster
anyway i've now run two sessions using the new roll table (that is incomplete lmao) and good LORD
the rules are broad enough that once you add like 3 of them, things are fully off the rails. i think it *might* be just enough chaos, but i might have to tone it down a little
which i'm not too motivated to design around because i think those players are just not a good fit for my table at some baseline level
BUT i also don't want to stress out a player who isn't expecting to come up with something on the spot
so i wrote a roll table that we can fall back to if needs be
so the silly muppet game has a mechanic where players can introduce a new "rule of the universe" on occassion
ive had a problem with this, because a surprising number of dudes show up and use the rule as a way to metagame or WORSE negate something i've already established
i think the all american rejects should have just accepted the rejection and moved on to other things
break a leg and have a blast!!
more or less
i know exactly where, what, and how often everyone should be posting. i know everything and i'm the boss of all of you
playing daggerheart for the first time, and I gotta tell ya folks. it lives up to the name. lotta daggers.
this reads like some 2011 era tumblr shit about how you can't sleep because you'll miss out on "all da fandom feelz"
fortunately, the cure for posting cringe remains largely the same: go talk to another human in real life. make friends outside of your narrow experience.
slam dunked my phone right into the ground yesterday. what happened next may surprise you.
Everyone is Seagulls is a despicable infohazard that should never be played.
I am so excited to see a) a panel of drag queens playing it and b) that it has full audience participation. Thankfully it only lasts an hour. God speed, brave warriors
I've typed the word bit so many times that it's stopped meaning anything
I should add a "bits" flag to my game tracker while it's early in the year. for GMing, i think I'm actually at 3 no-bit games out of 5.
the two bit games were supposed to be silly, so they were not avoidable
year of no bits update: ran a session last night that only had ONE bit and honestly it didn't count as a bit because it didn't persist beyond the scene.
successful no-bit game.
#YearOfNoBits
it's a slippery slope!
60 years ago today, mild-mannered jim bowl was bitten by a radioactive spider
my mom messaged me halfway through to say that the game was going well so hey! Mommy stamp of approval.
I'm about to run my first game in a month, I'm sure that's gonna be fine
i think I might be getting sick, but my main symptom is that i feel "weird"
like I'm normal but also my head feels about 30% bigger than it's physical bounds and my soul is suspended about 6 inches in front of my body
does that seem bad? it could be anything.
This just absolutely set me the fuck off this morningβ¦

You can test new tech ideas using the Seinfeld Test
Would the product eliminate the plot of an episode? (Google maps, cell phones, paypal, battery packs)
Good tech.
Would the product inspire new Seinfeld plots? (NFTs, AI chatbots, crypto currency, blindboxes, metaverse land sales)
Bad tech.
screenshot of Gonzo from season one of the Muppet show. he's pathetic and scrungly
we really lost something special when they yassified Gonzo
Hey friends!
If you are heading to PAX East and will be there on Thursday, Games on Demand is doing something new and will be possibly leading some small round table discussions. We are looking for people who have used TTRPGs in an educational format, in a classroom, with students etc. Let me know
