📆 Two months of Friday the 13ths in a row? Good year for folks looking for excuses to watch winter horror movies.
☝️ Starts about eight hours from now.
I don't listen to this podcast super often, but I enjoyed this episode quite a bit podcastindex.org/podcast/905431?episode=49900454903
A goal of mine is to get more organizers from a broader range of communities involved here. I believe we'll all benefit from more cross-community discussion and collaboration. Happy to chat if you have questions about the group; or, if you're already sold on it, the invite link is on the website.
Lots of us are Python conference organizers, but we have folks from other tech and non-tech communities in the group as well. We're a friendly and supportive bunch, so if you're looking to talk shop with other organizers, I encourage you to join.
Twice each month, a group of us at Conference Chats (www.conferencechats.org) meet on a video call to discuss community organizing topics. Our next call is tomorrow at 9PM US Eastern time (~25.5 hours from now). No experience necessary, open to anyone interested in community organizing.
📺️ Rabbit Trap (2025)
Small cast, more vibes than story, and definitely worth a watch.
🤲 Boston TS Club needs your help! We're out of a venue space and are on the lookout for one who can host our monthly meetups.
If you work at or know of a company who wants to support the local web development & JavaScript/TypeScript community, please let us know. 💙

Today is not Friday, but we are down to the final hours for a lot of folks who are able to take advantage of things like employer matches during fundraising drives. If you have that or other reasons to donate to organizations before the end of the year, let this be a reminder.
📺 I'm a little late on watching it this year, and it's not part of my usual winter / Christmas double feature with friends, but this grey, snowy day is a good day to watch Krampus (2015).
Thank you to everyone who proposed a session to PyCon US this year, to those who helped spread the word and promote the CFP, and to the folks who are hard at work reviewing everything. I am *stoked* to be a part of the conference, just five short months away.
only $200 away...please donate - blackpythondevs.com
