The logic is that Iran is a dictatorship that supports terrorism and terrorist states like russia, and they will be dangerous if they are able to build nuclear weapons. This is all true! However, this is unprovoked and illegal aggression that will achieve absolutely nothing.

The context behind the video is that kids called him stupid for having a stutter, so he is making the point that it's wrong to do that, and a joke that he is actually smart. I don't care for the guy but I hate cheap outrage bait.

I don't know what "backing Iran" even means. Cheering for them? This seems to be another war that people are treating like a movie they're watching from afar. Or worse, like a sports game where people pick a side and wear their jersey without actually doing anything to help anyone.

I was more fluent in French then. They could tell I was a dirty foreigner but they didn't know I was a filthy AMERICAN. I was asked if I was from Spain or Belgium. In any case, being able to speak a little helped smooth a lot of interactions. I plan to practice a lot before I go this time.

Thanks. I have no issue handling myself in an American city. I just don't know what is appropriate there. I didn't get hassled at all while I was there alone. I found Paris to be MUCH friendlier and safer than London.

I saw the main teacher giving some of the students bags of rice after class. I didn't inquire, but the logical implication is they or their kids aren't getting enough to eat.
