Don’t get me started on the fact that the Republican Party and “conservative” movement spent the last 40+ years building this machine they’re driving.
Most of the old guard GOP happily handed over the wheel, hopped in the back seat and started grinning and cheering like idiots.
Our country is being run by an MLM full of Frank Abagnale’s.
Trump, Musk and so many of MAGA’s “thought leaders” are always one step ahead of having their cons exposed to the people they’re grifting.
Still amazes me that a combination of big tech, capitalism, and lazy reporting gave them the edge.
Or Newsom’s ego has inflated to the point that he believes he can somehow defeat/deflate them by doing this.
Which of course is wrong and exhibits a lack of self awareness (like what, he’s Socrates waiting for his hemlock moment?).
Either way, it’s incredibly disappointing to see this from him.

Long story short, Section 230 seriously needs changes, but the time to do that was like 15 years ago, or maybe 4 years ago.
