With all my dislike to Trump, eho I do not think never should have been a president, tell this to Iran, it was a misfired rocket on their side.

For breaking the centrifuge part: why don't centrifuges have lid interlocks or similar mechanisms that make starting them without a lid impossible? If you can do that for a kitchen food processor, I'm sure there are solutions for big, expensive equipment - even without AI...

Yes, for smaller, flexible binders, like peptides that is why we only use the part of PAE matrix when the peptide is aligned. When aligning on the domain, everything is much more confident even with very bad peptide conformation and messes up scores. Interestingly, for actifptm, though,*

I am just looking at an xray structure which look dubious. Two H-bonds between 2 interacting proteins, bad packing, also thanks to crystal contacts, other interfaces exist... According to PISA CC, neither of the interfaces is significant for forming the complex. And wen benchmark methods to these...

After 10 years of bioinformatics, I really want to have a talk with
1) authors publishing computational methods with uninstallable environments and without runnable code for new data(!) in field standard format and
2) editors and reviewers who accept these methods for publications

Biological Laboratory | LEGOยฎ Ideas This is a two-floor realistic Biological Laboratory building. In this design, I try to tell stories about biologists, introduce biology concepts to general publโ€ฆ

I just made an account and voted for this biology laboratory made of LEGO to "promote biological research and inspire more people into the world of biology". They need 10K votes. Reposting and/or voting below would be helpful. ๐Ÿค—

Along with this: it's tempting to collect technical skills like pokemon, and there certainly is focus on work with breadth that rewards this. But don't forget about the value of depth. Hard to do good science without deep understanding of what you're doing. That only comes from years of immersion.

Unfortunately itโ€™s clear that the Israeli people canโ€™t topple the government or change its ways. Seems like the attorney general, the last gate keeper, will be fired soon. As long as weโ€™re stuck with this government, the war wonโ€™t stop. Only international intervention (=the U.S) might do it.

Scientific bedlam at the worldโ€™s weirdest and wildest research conference Woodstock Bio2 + Night Science aimed to encourage collaborations through creativity. The walk-on music for presentations was fun, too.

STUDY: Denmark tracked over a million children for 21 years, and found vaccines linked to zero extra cases of autism, asthma, or 48 other conditions.

Vaccines are safe, effective, and the best way to eradicate preventable disease. Period.
