@tpkingauthor.bsky.social Now that the season is done, I’d like to officially recommend it. Would love to talk about it. Eps. are only half hour long so it isn’t a very large time commitment with just 6 eps. in total. Much smaller scale and a highly focused story.
Seems like A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has been a bigger success than expected. I wasn’t quite sure for the first two eps. if I’d love it, but by the end I’m all in and it’s been a pleasant surprise. As usual in this world, the finale is a setup for next season, big things happen before that.

Bugonia might give The Killing of a Sacred Deer a run for the top spot here. But for now, I have it at #2. That was messed up and weird, and I love it.
As a massive fan of the IP, Tiny Epic: Game of Thrones was very frustrating. We wanted to try the co-op, and barely got through 2 rounds in 2 hours as we have to look up the rules a million times. Might have to try this 2p competitive eventually to see if it is a keeper or not.

I’m now on a quest to catch up on cinema from 2020-25, in addition to the usual films from the 1900’s and from all over the world. Excited to re-capture my love for films.

Agreed. I think he also mentioned joining as a contributor to TDT was needed for financial reasons as FOBG wasn’t enough.
Also should be noted, he is leaving as a contributor to The Dice Tower, but I assume he will continue to put out videos on his own channel Flipside of Board Games.

I always thought Prometheus was an overlooked one. Some issues, but overall good. Felt like I was the only one who liked it whenever the Alien franchise was discussed in film circles. Covenant? oof, I don’t remember anything from it, so forgettable I guess.
