Absolutely, oh fuck!

Living in Elliston, South Australia on Wirangu, Nauo and Kokatha land. It’s coastal and the town is small. History, archives and a bunch of other stuff. I probably won’t follow you back if you follow me. I’m at my maximum following limit.
Absolutely, oh fuck!
She could not be with a family that could surround her more with the love and care that she needs.
Be kind to yourselves as well.
Tiny Tim is waiting to head butt his best friend.
Fuckitty fuckitty fuck fuck fuck Luke. That’s awful!
May the arseholes who did this be infested by pubic lice and cramp up in the arms so they can’t ever scratch. Shitheads.
But before he can stand, to keep looking, to check, the bus right and the promenade, the sea, Blackpool, disappears.
Happy Birthday Brian,
loved forever.
Fellow 1966 baby
Our paths never crossed
But I’m thinking of the life
that you could have had
Of the life that you should have had.
Stolen from you in 1988
Loved forever, forever a little brother
Happy Birthday Brian
Ms Praxis, from a distance, a hug for you.
You’re doing the best that you can for your piggy friend. Tough to realise it’s getting close to saying goodbye.

I couldn’t put it better myself, Maggie. Eloquent, succinct and straight to the point.

Here’s hoping your knees don’t give out! 😉
Have fun in your natural element.
Hugs Maggie. I hope all is better than you expect.

While I resist the temptation to edit it to suit my current writing style, I do adore the relationship shown between librarian and researcher. Intimate, supportive and based on curiosity. What is there not to love?

Time to share some writing from the archives- brought to you by Colourful Histories, @statelibrarynsw and @nationallibraryaus.
Written while I was on a summer scholarship at the NLA, this remains one of my favourite blog pieces....

Tomorrow I'll get my second cataract surgery. I can look forward to perfect eyesight in my old age. They replace old, fuzzy lenses with corrective lenses. And for the Americans out there I don't have to pay a cent. Even my bus fare getting to the hospital is free.
Why won't Malinauskas's South Australian Labor govt release govt data & info on the impacts of SA's devastating, extended marine algal bloom❓
What did the govt investigate or decline to investigate❓
What are they hiding❓
SA voters deserve transparency & accountability
I've never figured out anything.

For Alex Pretti Because his last words were for a woman; because he asked, are you okay, are you okay; because he had learned to say it by standing each night beside the dying; because sometimes he held their hands; because he had lived only as long as the scent of childhood in an album; because he was a son; because he sang once; because of all of it, because of all of it, because of all of it, tell it, tell the story: a breath has left; a country is dying; and a man laid his face on its pavement today as though he were listening to a patient's heart— even then, even at the ending— to do what he was there to do: heal. —Joseph Fasano

Sandman Holdens were also known in Oz as “shagging* wagons”, sometimes displaying a sticker on the back window that stated, “If the car’s a rocking, don’t bother knocking”.
*Shagging is an alternative slang term for having a root which is also a slang term for having sex, not gardening or birding.
I’d give you a hug but it’s probably not a good idea, Maggie.
That story brought a huge smile to the face of this retired archivist.
I lived in PNG and Kiribati and attended a Parbica conference at the SPC late last century.
Thanks for sharing, Deb.
