i think the masculinity and femininity are not "things that exist" but rather feminization is a process applied downstream of masculinism, and intentional subversions to passive feminization generate both "machinic-hyperfemininity" (drag, femme, etc) & "lez/fag masculinity" (butch, fae, etc)

i think 21st century feminisms ought to move beyond discourses on lifestyles & aesthetic signifiers that characterize the captured state + exhaustion & limits around libfeminism vs radfeminism subculture & start confronting work & social reproduction, the family, heterosexualism, cisness, & Man-hood

Oh absolutely. I genuinely hope that, especially for the money, people get things out of it but I think the combination of how most tables treat the GM and that like there are skills outside of the game that you need to have spent years on many are going to be deeply disappointed

It is a bit funny that people will talk about difficulty and balance in game design like it's a deciding factor and then ocarina of time, one of the most acclaimed games ever, just has an upgrade you may or may not get that just doubles your health right before the final boss

Gonna springboard off of this to suggest, as @keftiu.bsky.social has, that RPGs which center around pregenerated/preestablished characters are an extremely unexplored design space, and honestly doing that with licensed IP type stuff makes even MORE sense because people ALREADY do this with fanfic
