When politicians don't honor their promises, our work is to make them. To do that, we have to build enough power to make them. I understand why people get disappointed but this is unfortunately how things work in politics.
One thing I feel ought to be discussed more is the fact that basically all rural and suburban places in the US are subsidized by cities. They resent cities. They insult cities. They elect politicians who abuse cities. But none of them could survive without cities.

How are you viewing politics these days? Super confusing. Everything feels like a mess. The only thing we can do is bring more transparency to how things work, and give access and agency to more and more people. I don't believe one system is going to fix everything, and I don't believe one party is going to fix everything. I've never been on one side or the other.
