KENNEDY: You said, 'Republicans think can troll their way to ethnic cleansing.' Did I read that correctly?
BIER: DHS tweeted for 100m deportations. That would be ethnic cleansing!
K: You don't think it's hyperbolic?
B: I think advocating 100m deportations is ethnic cleansing. Yes. Your time is up

Her vote aside, among white people across the political spectrum, it IS taboo to talk openly about their politics.
This is a grift designed to maintain white supremacy across political divide. To keep them communing along whiteness with their enemies & ideological opponents.

Still crazy that the presidentβs lawyer spent two days with Ghislaine Maxwell, she βclearedβ him of wrongdoing and was almost immediately transferred to a more pleasant prison and nobody in the administration will explain it and the media acts like two large dots are just impossible to connect.

The core of imperialists politics is that some group has to be sacrificed for the majority to be ok.
And thatβs just a bald faced lie. Thereβs more than enough for everyone to be fine.
The acceptence of this belief as a fundamental reality of the US is why I canβt connect with most perspectives

Why are you getting calls about your 6 year old son hitting a student over their peer not sharing? The student saying no angered him & the last time you were angry with him you hit him.

When politicians don't honor their promises, our work is to make them. To do that, we have to build enough power to make them. I understand why people get disappointed but this is unfortunately how things work in politics.

One thing I feel ought to be discussed more is the fact that basically all rural and suburban places in the US are subsidized by cities. They resent cities. They insult cities. They elect politicians who abuse cities. But none of them could survive without cities.

"You were the original force behind Bluesky. Are you happy with it now?
No, because it's gone to the other ideology. I left the board. It started taking investment from VCs and building like a normal company. I understand why, but it's not what I signed up for, and it's not why we created the project. We created it to be an open protocol for everyone, not to be something that's against Twitter or against other social media. The largest issue right now is the algorithmic filter bubble."

How are you viewing politics these days?
Super confusing. Everything feels like a mess. The only thing we can do is bring more transparency to how things work, and give access and agency to more and more people. I don't believe one system is going to fix everything, and I don't believe one party is going to fix everything. I've never been on one side or the other.
You just KNOW Jack Dorsey is very very smart because a decade into trumpism and he's still somehow oblivious to the uniquely cancerous threat posed by fascism
