When we talk about Baby Boomers not getting off the stage: In 1997, the US president was born in 1946.
In 2007, the US president was born in 1946.
In 2017, the US president was born in 1946.
And next year in 2027? The US president will have been born in 1946.
Yes, the war was launched with anti-ICE anger at its peak, and with Trump being thwarted on DHS funding by Congress. It started right before primary elections for the midterms. And, yes, right after Bill Clinton's testimony put presidents-who-know-Epstein at the top of newsfeeds.
When FBI Director Kash Patel fired a dozen FBI agents and staff last week for their role in the classified documents investigation of Donald Trump, he targeted an elite counter espionage unit that investigates threats from foreign adversaries and specializes in Iran www.ms.now/news/kash-pa...
Really, you think they believe that? I think they believe that might is right, that war can help keep them in power and distract from scandals, and that religious people will respond well to religious messaging. It's hard to imagine that Trump believes in Gd, isn't it?
Thanks for this. I read The Prophets by the Heschel recently because I heard that MLK liked it. (It's a slog.) I'd really under-appreciated how their main gig was railing against the gov't and others in power for cruelty, injustice, and hypocrisy. I found it very helpful.

Mikaela Shiffrin's very similar. She seems to really love the skiing (and camaraderie with her peers) but to kinda wish the medals, records, cameras, would go away.
"βThe attack on empathy would have gained very little traction in the church if Donald Trump werenβt president."
Uh...it's exactly the opposite, isn't it? Evangelicals love Trump because of his anti-empathy worldview. Not in spite of it.
Otherwise, they could have elected Jeb Bush.
A statistic with considerable explanatory power:
"Data from the Federal Reserve shows that only the richest 1% of households have grown their share of overall U.S. wealth since 1990. Their share hit a record 32% in the third quarter of 2025, equivalent to $54.8 trillion." (/v @revkin.bsky.social )

Maybe. But even if you're wrong, this is evil enough. American slavery never extended to non-Black people. It was evil. The Shoah targeted mainly Jews. It was evil. Only Japanese people were rounded up in WWII. (I get your argument, but I wish it wasn't necessary to make it.)
There's no point in trying to sidestep Republican attacks, because those attacks are always against straw men. The Dems who succeed don't obsess over avoiding Republican trip wires. Instead they dominate the mic by talking loudly and simply about things they care about. (Cue the Mamdani clips.)
The best way to regulate big tech is to just make bad practices illegal. It's not that complicated. So, let's just make it illegal to sell phone location data. Sign here:

We can't leave the job of predicting and tracking extreme weather disasters to profit-driven private companies. Help us urge Congress and the administration to fund and staff essential national weather and climate tracking services.

Thereβs gotta be a German word for the cursed experience of reading the Fulton County affidavit after reporting on the 2020 election in extreme detail. Even redacted, every niche witness jumps outβmany conspiracy theorists with no real expertise. The US government treating them as credible is nuts.
Wild fact from @billmckibben.bsky.social's latest newsletter:
"The last colder-than-average month on planet earth was in February of 1985, which means that no one under the age of forty has ever known one."
