Wow! One of my favourite bands is putting out their first album in over 20 years! ๐
Hmmm, the first track they've released is kinda mid ๐ซค
... and the video for it includes a bunch of AI slop ๐

I'm pretty sure @ava.foxfort.net has run some and may be able to offer advice.
Another thing on the list of reasons I hope I find a new job soon, is that the new War On Women album is shaping up to be great and I need to be able to buy it ...

Time to repurpose an old joke: I'm non-binary - I play drums and guitar.
Victoria Wood badly added to an old ยฃ10 note, covering the Queen.
Make them all Animals of Farthing Wood and have the scenes get more traumatic as the value increases.
And it happened again! Two people doing the interview and they're named [first name] and [middle name].
And if I got the job, I'd be replacing the one with the same name as me. ๐
And finally Poppy. No video for this one as all the singles were for the (still enjoyable but) kinda generic tracks. Instead have one of the hints of weirdness from her new album that fortunately haven't all been shaved off.

It seems obvious to post this for Tricot, but I can't resist because a) it's one of their best, b) it has a ridiculous comment on YouTube where someone breaks down all the time signature changes.

Bonus! Nemophila covering Hanabie.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=higs...
Going the other direction and including Nemophila's newest song because (like a lot of their stuff) it's just so fun. Metal bands need to have more fun making music (I say as if I don't usually listen to ridiculous amounts of doom metal).

Starting with an old Hanabie track, because having them on repeat has made it grow on me more. Also because bits of it have Summon in Thunder-era Himsa vibes (a very good thing).

For International Women's Day, I have been listening to only music made by women. By which I mean I haven't changed my playlist away from the mix of Hanabie, Nemophila, Tricot, and Poppy it was already on.
Thread to follow with a track from each, because why not?
A response to "Are there fairies in my garden?" "Fairies actually HATE your garden, your garden SUCKS, you should consider giving up on it"
Thank you, beautiful human.
Incredible stuff. Absolutely excellent work.
Briefly entertained the idea of leaning towards a pirate vibe. But I gave her red hair (because Erin is an Irish name) and she has a complete lack of sailing skills from her background ...
I realised I was making Steve the Pirate.
It's a minefield of tropes to avoid thinking up a design for her.
Ditching anything orientalist that comes along with the genie connection. Along with any g*psy/traveller aesthetics that seem to be the other default option when making a dancer/fighter character.
Ok, I need to work out how I can end up on the geribatric ward when I'm old ...
And that's how I've ended up creating Erin Yeh, a shifter paladin (and this might be the first time I enjoy playing paladin??) - oath of the noble genie.
What kind of shifter? A pangolin, obviously.
Because "pangolin paladin" is fun to say. ๐
Oh dear, I've been bitten by the D&D character creation bug again. Let's check off the list of things I've done for the nth time:
โ
Concept based on my own amusement
โ
Could be mistaken for an entirely different class
โ
Name derived from working through various tenuous connections and references
A stack of books I read in February: Love Bullet, Vol. 1 by Inee Catch These Hands!, Vol. 1-4 by Murata Alice's Oxford by Peter Hunt Eniale & Dewiela, Vol. 1-3 by Kamome Shirahama Life Lessons From Historical Women by Eleanor Morton Wrath Goddess Sing by Maya Deane
February's reading: A bunch of comics reread and some actual books! Pleased with myself ๐
10 fav Marvel characters (in no real order):
Silk
Araรฑa
Rogue
Nico Minoru
Medusa
Hawkeye (Kate Bishop)
Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers)
She-Hulk
Wolverine (Laura Kinney)
Elsa Bloodstone
Ah, I knew it would be the Edguy version. Love that album. The title track has some excellent synth sounds.
I do this so often. My brain managed to smash two acronyms together and continuously reads GRWM as "George R Weapon Master".
I assume there's some wording in the Disney deal that means they can't do live action "Spider-Man" without their involvement. Which is why the Nicolas Cage series is "Spider-Noir".

We just need more sightings of John Constantine.
Let's see your profile pic in its full-size glory.

A series of illustrations showing characters from Delicious in Dungeon dressed as characters from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Chilchuck as the Cheshire Cat Senshi as the White Rabbit Laios as the Mad Hatter Marcille as Alice Fallin as the Queen of Hearts
Simultaneously delighted and disappointed to find out there are Alice in Wonderland themed Delicious in Dungeon standees.
Because why the hell is Chilchuck the Cheshire Cat? Why not Izutsumi??
Yeh, I don't read enough DC to pick a JLA character based on personality, so I just went with my general favourite DC character aesthetically.
And dating Jimmy is close enough.
Incredibly, I only ended up 3 points behind the winner (4 player game).
