So I woke up to yet another 75 bug reports. 15 of which I have already handled by merging/closing as multi by doing a quick search.
You can make my life easier by doing the following things:
- Search/Check compiled list.
- Add pack tags to title
- Add thread tags for mod usage/platform
still absolutely in love with businesses & hobbies!!
And it seems that is how EA measure funding for QA. If a game gets 20 million players a month, and majority of bug reports have only a handful of votes, it’s hard to get the funding to get them fixed Vs a bug that has 2000+ votes.
It sucks. But EA is EA & Maxis get their funding from them.
I’ve been lucky enough to see the state of packs before they go through QA testing and tons of issues/bugs are squashed before release.
However, that takes resources & it’s clear Maxis are basically saying to get more resources on older bugs, not just preventing new ones, is dependant on votes.
There is a permanent team. The packs coming out wouldn’t be playable at all if there wasn’t.
They temporarily expand the team with extra funding given - but Maxis are making it clear that people need to report & upvote bugs if we want to see more bugs fixed & even asked us to do it before October.
Issue is there’s not enough reports for EA consider allowing Maxis a permanent expansion, which seems to be why Maxis are urging people to go through and upvote all the bugs they are facing, add additional info where needed & send in save files if asked.
Yes but that’s just my ADHD 🥹 some things stand the test of time, others become my absolute world and then one day I’ll just forget about it until someone reminds me 🥹

The game will often also crash after a while and you will get the LE about milestone_tracker.

Yeah. My guess it will be an AI built into the game, I can’t imagine them using Gen AI for that. Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t know how that would work.

Potentially, but I don’t think that could be Gen AI.
It sounds like a the game will scan the photo and intelligently create a Sim using known presets. I don’t think it will scan a database or use an AI centre to do so. It seems unlikely. We will see though.

Gen AI and having AI systems in a game are two very different things
I’m trying to find where it says this.
They talk about using real life photos to find builds creators have made, and being able to use a photo to find assets already made, to create a match.
These don’t sound like Gen AI at all, it’s building AI into the game (which Sims has always had) to-
