I've had a somewhat similar tragic gaming incident a few years back. I purchased Ride 4 (a motorcycle racing game, for context) on Xbox for about $35… the very next day, it went on sale for $5! I was not impressed. And since I had already played the game, it voided the refund on the digital copy.
