Every fall, Lake Michigan’s southern shore becomes a migration corridor for tens of thousands of #birds. Our counters at Miller Beach, as part of the Kenneth J. Brock Fall Waterbird Survey, track everything from raptor kettles to massive Blue Jay flights to reveal the scale of these movements.
Indiana’s birds don’t care about county lines or zip codes. They care about habitat. That’s why on #OctoberBigDay we’ll be out at 17 @protectindianaland.bsky.social protected sites counting every feather that flies by.
