Same experience for me. Just before totality, almost constant clouds. A few hours before, clear 🤷‍♀️
It was good to do a crash course of how to work my camera while in the dark, again.

I too am not Portuguese sized and know exactly how that feels. But it beats the day long train from Madrid to Lisbon with all the stops.
