dream it do it
Poster on a telephone pole with CRIMINAL in red and a ton of ways the US federal government is breaking or has broken laws, including illegal tariffs, abuse of prosecutorial power, executive overreach and the Epstein files
A white poster with Remember Nuremberg as a red and black title in the middle, surrounded by words like grift, extortion, Alien Enemies Act, jailing innocent citizens, war crimes and ethnic cleansing
New posters in my neighborhood or maybe they're depressing word search pages
I will continue to mutter that "spring forward" is not a thing people actually do and so it is not a good reminder for how to move clocks. Personally I have sprung sidewise and forward--surprised by small critters mainly--but never forward. Fallen forward, though? Many, many times.
Likely depends on how you feel about offbeat/one guy's personal style of pizza versus a more uniform "pizza must be this style and no other" experience. We're in such a pizza renaissance era, but also an endless sticker shock era.
I've heard generally yes, but the stadium one sometimes gets slagged for not living up to the hype + lines
I recently learned there's a Finnish cake that looks like a pinecone named KΓ€pykakku and if we make the playoffs I am going to attempt to make one.
My version of this lives behind a newspaper's paywall, but here's a close one without a hassle. I use lingonberry or apricot jam usually, but thick caramel in lieu of jam is a fun way to lean into the brown butter flavor.
I think it or squid on a stick would be super popular for the Kraken, all the fans not waving giant tentacles could have some poking out of their mouths
Can it be countered with truthpaste?
π same thing I was saying! Cracked me up
Mine came from the Genesee Walgreens, and do a pretty good job of mimicking my lifetime favorite doughnut
I keep saying, basically, "let me get my tiny piece before it all collapses" and mainly this has made me realize that not nearly enough of my friends have heard about that case/settlement.
Thank you, I'll stick with the possibly-just-for-me peanut butter cinnamon roll M&Ms
I am a huge fan of maple + peanut butter, is that what this is?
This reminds me to look up a long-gone 90s U District joint I loved.
And adjacent: In 2009ish a Pag's guy told me they had no plans for an RV branch because of safety. I said they should revisit those attitudes and then the person leading the meeting said SO ANYWAY and I did not bite anyone.
This is fantastic. I want to know how her pizza was!
Thanks for this, so glad you fell into that rabbit hole. I kinda wonder if MOHAI has any Mrs. Pizza Express stuff lurking somewhere.
For those not clicking the link: "Public Health said all students, staff, and families are being informed of the case this week, regardless of their level of exposure, emphasizing "people in the community do not need to be monitoring for symptoms or concerned about TB spread."
Yeah, exactly. Chilling so many things, mainly starches because of the exact changes these dingalings focus on, *improves flavor and texture*.
My parents were big on Scarsdale nonsense, like tiny portions of lamb were somehow better than tiny portions of other animal proteins.
I have occasionally recommended doing what they're talking about for improvements to taste, like cooking & chilling potatoes for salad the day before you actually make the potato salad. Because it tastes better, not for anything at all about how your body digests them. God I hate this.
I keep thinking about this and I remember being shown pictures of my pal's favorite, the black rain frog, an excellent round little guy
I assigned it to the category stoned and stoner, thanks for this.
At least we were spared a copy-editor era. (Wait, were we? It looks old-timey enough to have existed.)
Not long ago I rode light rail with a guy schlepping skates + stick in a neat little gear bag and it was thrilling but I was glad it wasn't a whole-ass armor kit because the train was already quite full, he would have needed to levitate it all or something
Living that trophy life
I was def more focused on WHICH FROGS than "the kids are alright" but being auntie has ridiculous privileges like that
Wait, a teen pal was describing the existence of this Google doc to me over a new year's trip, I am now having a "Seattle is a small town" moment
Behold the Dard-e-Disco video from the movie. It's tremendous.

Gray and white tuxedo cat peeping at the photographer through a screened-in catio with white stairs in the background
Today's most societally boring/most personally exciting news: the neighbors are building a catio, stage 1 is complete and this brave chap is ready for it.
...and I just saw a vid where Jack Hughes is laughing when the women's team is mocked by our demented president. His mom scouted for that team, maybe led that player selection? So I expect she'll have some words about it.
