Guys, I need a dark, cavernous coffee shop or bookstore/coffee shop combo to lurk around in and read and journal moodily. Do these even exist anymore?

In spring, let's launch the Northeast & Great Lakes Regional Spider League π
(Only cause I rarely find them inside weirdly)
I have a circle of pretty good friends, but no one with whom I could have a Spider League and I feel this is a genuine gap

Is it the town's intention to bulldoze every wooded lot in Amherst and turn every grassy area into an ugly building? Because it kinda seems like that's the general plan
It looks like a Renaissance painting π
The Mist is coming for us all
One of my grandpas was a research chemist, and one was a barber.
A rectangular thick locket of brass with a worn lion's face on the front
The locket is open; tiny dominos are jumbled inside.
Take joy where you find it

Nurul Amin Shah Alam spent 10 years in refugee camps before receiving his legal approval to join our community. He was here only weeks before police and immigration agents started to abuse him, which continued until he died. Vetted fundraiser for the family www.gofundme.com/f/standing-w...
The funeral service is open to the public. Feb. 26, 2 pm, Masjid Zakariya cemetery, 31 Stone St., 14212.
Update: event is apparently canceled.
I found out we have apparently a fair number of airplane nodes in the area, which may contribute. Fascinating!
CBP agents detained Nurul Alam, then released him in the parking lot of a Tim Horton's. Nearly blind and with limited English, without resources in winter weather, Mr. Alam died. Come stand with our Rohinga neighbors.
Me last weekend: "I won't spoil it for you if you haven't read it, this <checks notes> 95 year old short story."
You should read it. I won't spoil it for you.

The worst of it is over but I still canβt function normally.
Iβm not asking you for donations just asking to share.
This is getting rough and I donβt know how to make next month actually happen.
The hospitals took everything. Disability is suspended. I am screwed.

Having a weird morning where everything (minor) is going wrong, including dropping an open insulated mug of coffee which splashed over basically the entire kitchen
Seriously wondering if I should just go back to bed

This is so cool. Science is awesome
An endless expanse of steely gray water with chunks of ice along a vast ledge of white. Bare tree branches in frame.
The angle of this does not do it justice. I wish I had looked for a better spot

I'm envious of (what appears to be) your Pendleton blanket...
And of course, the cat
I, for one, welcome our new Canadian overlords
I definitely don't know enough about it to begin to understand it. I brought a few devices to Oswego and Morrisville and we couldn't pick up ANY other nodes

It's a different protocol, but similar in the sense they're totally encrypted. There's a main, unencrypted public channel, but then you can create and share new channels with encryption on both ends. So it's like it's own version of Signal, but totally independent of internet access or cell service
