They tried that, the talking heads wouldn't take that for an answer..

Gone the alternative route. There were 3 in there, so what? Not like they could be dropped off somewhere before the submarine went to war.

What were they meant to do? Get dropped off somewhere first?

I doubt even the families of those killed would hold Australia accountable for what happened, and what good does publishing this achieve?

What a beat up! They're professional mariners doing their job.

What happens now?

Genetic bone spurs... What can you do??

Unless you're in the Ukraine, Russia is mostly staying in its lane.

America however... Picking fights around the globe.

I wonder if / when China enters the chat.

Same as negotiations breaking down with the Palestinians after their lead negotiator got blown up..

Bottom line, if trump gives you 2 weeks, you've got 2 days

For once, out of the blocks too quickly and too strongly. Like Morrison's criticism of China during Covid.

Usual protocol is to wait for the UK, France / Germany and NZ to comment, then follow suit.

If you can't pass a drug test, residential construction is for you..

A lot of formerly residential builders are now working on commercial / infrastructure projects.

Pass drug and alcohol testing, wear long longs and play the paperwork game and there's great money to be made.

Will Hastie have a change of heart and throw his hat in the ring, or are he and Price going to keep their powder dry for a later date.

None of this will win votes back from Labor, but might take the wind out of Hanson's sails

Imagine him losing to Ley twice!!

Seems she's advised the govt to bury the incident as it might distract from the extended Bondi grieving period ahead of Herzog visit.

Cannot believe how quickly the story vanished, it's barely caused a ripple.

In reality, Speers has probably got more dealings with Hastie and Taylor than O'Brien.

It's more than a reasonable assumption that Leys leadership was discussed, but Ted and Susssan are the last people to know any details.

Talking to country people: You know Nationals don't actually make policy that helps you.

Them: Nah.

*repeat for decades*

Them: You know, I don't think the Nationals make policy that helps us. They're in the pocket of the mining companies!

Me: YES!

Them: So now we're going to vote One Nation.

Kim Jong Un punching well above his weight. No Netanyahu on the list?

Can Angus keep the Nats on a short leash without trying to out-Pauline Pauline? If so, that could be his legacy.

Can't see him running the country - offers as much as Dutton did, but with a salesman's smile.

His biggest obstacle is Murdoch and the RW media. They provide the opposition that the politicians can't.

All busy trying to get a read on who Murdoch will replace Ley with so they can start kissing the ring.

Looks like another thing for the long weekend to-do list!

My wife renewed hers a while back and it seemed pretty painless. Wouldn't want to have to do it in a hurry..

I had both up until a few years ago when my UK one expired during covid.

I haven't been back since, and don't plan to head there any time soon, but have family there so events could take over

Two passports gets you through customs quicker.. go in as a local both ways.

Am pretty sure voting is based on the electoral roll, so even though you are eligible to vote, if you don't have a registered address, it's a stuff about. Might be able to vote at embassy?

22.01.2026 06:58 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Wait, what?? I had two passports and just used whichever got me through customs quickest. UK passport entering UK, Australian passport arriving here.

Are you saying I can't get into the UK without a British passport?? Mine expired and I didn't bother getting a new one.

Sussan might need one too, to knock some sense into her coalition partners..
