She laid on the corner of my desk at night. In daytime she stayed in my husband's office & when he got home she laid by his feet or in his lap. When she walked across the wood floor her claws made little clicks. She had a powerful dinosaur tail that spilled many a beverage. She hated being carried.

Purrcy saw me off when I left & was the first to greet me when I came home. She loved to cuddle and especially liked the top of her head petted. She would slam her head into my arm and keep it pressed there. When another cat wanted cuddles, she would bop them on the head with an outstretched paw.

She gobbled food like there was no tomorrow. Once she ran off with a 4-inch chicken bone. Before we could catch her it was gone. Did she hide it? Eat it? All I can say is we tore that house upside down and had it professionally cleaned when we moved. No chicken bone.

Purrcy was very soft, very sweet, and had the tiniest purrs, almost inaudible. She liked me to make a cave for her with a blanket. She didn't play much, but she would steal hair ties and drown them in her water bowl. She liked to eat plastic bags and her favorite flavor was the sticky side of tape.

I knew nothing about backyard breeders. I'd seen an ad for a Russian blue, supposedly easy on the allergies. When we got there it was a bad situation, but it was too late, we couldn't leave her like that. It's always on my conscience that we gave them money, but I have never regretted saving Purrcy.

We said goodbye to Persephone Scamps (Purrcy, Purr-Purr, Princess Purrs) a few days ago. We had her for 17 years. Nothing has ever hit me so hard. I cried so much. I even cried in front of a stranger. She was the best girl.
