My second favorite thing to draw 🌳
My second favorite thing to draw 🌳
Continuing my colored pencil adventures. The most satisfying part is adding the bright yellow. The glow it gives 🤌
A gift for @itsthebeanie.bsky.social, one of my incredible discord moderators! They requested something with critters and something spaced themed, so it naturally followed that I had to draw space raccoons ✨
Why is it so hard to find good pose reference to convey tension? Good thing I've got my own extensive experience to draw from 🥲
I made a tutorial about the digital tools I use during my drawing process! Things like clipping masks, the lasso tool, adjustment layers, and more ~ www.patreon.com/posts/tutori...
Digital painting of a man kissing a merman on the cheek and they are surrounded by fish. The illustration is almost abstract, with a color palette of vibrant and dark blues, and pale grays.
Digital painting of a merman, being carried by a man in a mech-suit. The merman looks frail and hurt, and he is in the gentle, giant grasp of the iron hands of the heavily armored man. Both characters have a weary expression, with tears pooling in their eyes.
Digital painting of two mermen sitting on a dock by a river. The merman is half submerged in water while leaning on the legs of the other, who's sitting on the dock.
Digital painting of a man and a merman, sitting on a window by the beach. The merman is cupping the human's cheek and they are sharing a longing glance at each other.
After lying around untouched for over 20 years, I finally tried out my ancient set of colored pencils. And now I’m wondering why I didn’t use them for so long - I love drawing with these!

A new piece for Ergo Cosmos, an illustrated sci-fi/occult collection of tales, created with the support of my patreons!
thanks so much 💖
ugh, yes.
yepp!! i made a photo album with my bad skin pictures, but sometimes i still wonder if it was really that bad. but it was the feeling of having multiple deep infections that was so distressing.. and knowing i had to tend to them for at least a week before they turned into pigment scars.
thank you! and thanks for sharing that picture! it's lovely :)
aww, tell her i appreciate that! i do feel like there's more conversations about skin imperfections these days, that weren't happening when i was growing up. i felt sooooo alone in my struggles because no one i knew had it.
thanks so much! and totally agree. imperfections make things interesting and human.
thank you!!
As a person with acne, this helps my self-image: studying the faces of people who have it, and realizing they are still beautiful even though their skin has imperfections.
Every year, we do a secret santa event in my discord server. This year, I was asked to draw a Christmas ghost for Frederik Gheysen, one of my long time patrons ❄️
agreed. i have no clue why it's pushing certain stuff onto my feed. feels like a waste of time to figure it out, since it's changing all the time anyways.
i think there's so much value in real-life connections! was there any specific way you approached the con in order to get the most out of it? did you just walk up to people or did you table?
artists! the social media landscape has changed so much in the past years. what are you doing to promote your art / get visibility? what's working / not working for you?
thanks!
thanks so much, really appreciate your kind words 😊
thanks so much!
ohh! happy to hear people are still on there, i've been faithfully posting there for decades 😊
that's amazing! congrats 😊
you too!
it was a very lucky moment in terms of lighting 😂 and just having done my hair a few minutes before.
