Unfortunately the reality is that cops have a history of killing people by dropping them off in inhospitable places. In Canada it’s called a “starlight tour” when cops detain an Indigenous person and then drop them off miles from home in the wilderness, sometimes causing them to freeze to death

I really hate anti-trans politicians, and I especially hate it because it was a culture war issue where we were clearly winning and then a bunch of nominally liberal people at the Times and the Atlantic decided to reverse that and they did.
They can’t even legally drive to the DMV to get the license that will misgender them by law because the statute invalidating their licenses went into immediate effect.
When Gavin Newsom says "the Democrats need to be more culturally normal" with "less focus on pronouns" what he's actually saying is "the trannies aren't normal and don't normalize them."

The director shall send written notice to each such individual notifying such individual that such license is invalid and to surrender such license to the division of vehicles. Upon the surrender of any such license, the director shall issue a new driver's license to such individual with the correct gender identification for such individual.
