A black and white photograph of an incoming wave, side view, travelling from right to left, white spume and spindrift and dark water.
A Cornish wave.
Road heads towards mountain.
The first proper view of Liathach as one travels down Glen Torridon never fails to impress. Photo:Yesterday morning.
The ocean is warming as the upper atmosphere is cooling β both as a result of excessive greenhouse gas emissions.
Snowy mountain and a still sea.
High tide; Upper Loch Torridon yesterday. Liathach and Fasaig Village beyond.
Last night, coming back from Clun Castle rook was so excited as i chased the moon and could not believe my luck as it lined up with a rookery - hiding behind a hedge i was able to get my shots. OM1mk2 and the superb 50-200 and 2x. @omsystem.bsky.social @rspb.bsky.social

βWhen the spirits are low, when the day appears dark, when work becomes monotonous, when hope hardly seems worth having, just mount a bicycle & go out for a spin down the road, without thought on anything but the ride you are taking.β
-Arthur Conan Doyle

Photo of a man with a very long white beard riding a bicycle with two panniers on the rear rack.
In July 1951, "Steel Grandpa" Gustaf HΓ₯kansson, 66, unofficially rode the Sverigeloppet, a 1000-mile race through Sweden. By not sleeping he arrived a day before the other riders, crossing the finish line on a flat tire.
Happy #BicycleBirthday, Gustaf!

Possibly too far (south of Wheatley) but The Mole in Toot Baldon and The Seven Stars in Marsh Baldon are both great with parking and outdoor tables.

A warning to those of you who use WeTransfer (as we do) that their terms are changing next month to allow them to train LLMs on your data.
You just can't get away from this scourge, it's relentless.
