As a Labour candidate in May, I think Andy is spot on. We have to offer hope, through a series of measures, and at the same time, be ruthlessly focused on the messages about Labour has already done in relation to cost of living.
#Trump: we know already he’s no Biden or Obama.
Nor is he a Bush Jr, Clinton, Bush Sr, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy, Eisenhower, Truman, FD Roosevelt or Hoover. Nor is he the 30 other previous presidents.
He is a convicted felon, narcissist and an alleged rapist and pedophile.

It’s complex, but i would say Tom is looking a little complacent with his assessment. This wasn’t a protest vote for The Greens, nor was it tactical voting. They gained 4,000 more votes than Labour (full disclaimer: my party). Our vote collapsed by 25+%. There’s was up 25+%.
I like Tom, but he’s wrong on this.

It’s my sincere hope that both justice and democracy prevail in the US.
It seems odd, viewing it all from afar (in the UK), that there has been no other legal challenge to the president and those in his administration, either based on his capacity or alleged illegal actions.
I think this is the problem. I doubt he was advised by anyone credible within the administration. It’s all on a whim. As it turns out, an illegal whim.
I happen to believe he was also rather good while in office. Vastly underrated and unappreciated.
It will forever haunt him, and more seriously, his eldest brother.

From someone previously involved in ‘placemaking’, I strongly agree. It really does make a difference. Where it gets sticky, is when major £££ infrastructure projects get underway, and people tend to moan about the disruption (especially over on FB). Though arguably they bring the greater benefit.
