Thereβs an Indian journalist in Israel right now reporting in Hindi about how bomb shelters in Israel will allow even the pets of Jews in but will not open its doors to the Indian workers our shithole government sent in droves to make up for genocided Palestinian labor. Apartheid regime.

The front page of The National. The headline reads: THIS IS THE HUMAN COST. The photo stretches across the front and back pages of the paper and is the aerial view of 100 freshly dug graves for the murdered schoolgirls of Minab, Iran
NEW: US & Israeli have bombed a 4th school.
Shahid Hamedane School in Tehran was hit today, following schools hit in Minab and Parand, Iran.
And The National in Scotland seems to be the only newspaper in the Western world giving these war crimes appropriate coverage.

The tails of Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS were a sight to behold. Pictured, C/2023 A3 (TsuchinshanβATLAS) was captured near peak impressiveness last week over the Eastern Sierra Mountains in California, USA. The comet not only showed a bright tail, but a distinct anti-tail pointing in nearly the opposite direction. The globular star cluster M5 can be seen on the right, far in the distance. As it approached, it was unclear if this crumbling iceberg would disintegrate completely as it warmed in the bright sunlight. In reality, the comet survived to become brighter than any star in the night (magnitude -4.9), but unfortunately was then so nearly in front of the Sun that it was hard for many casual observers to locate. Whether Comet Tsuchinshan-Atlas becomes known as the Great Comet of 2024 now depends, in part, on how impressive incoming comet C/2024 S1 (ATLAS) becomes over the next two weeks. I've subscribed to @monkemma.bsky.social substack because I believe it's really important to to counter the 'fake news' promulgated by the right wing press and I can see Emma is really putting in the hours to produce on her posts/threads.
Emma, could/should these debunks be formal complaints ?
Excuse my unspiritual language but fuck this shit.
βWe are getting students without a single A-level or equivalent getting access to the student loan book,β Tickell said, adding: βWeβre investing so much money in people who β¦ are not really capable of graduating.β
(Academia isn't for everyone, let's value skills and abilities beyond the academic, and not force people who would succeed better in other spheres of knowledge onto more degrees. But the man clearly has no concern for the student in this calculation.) (+ obviously, A-Level isn't a mark of ability)

And in Euston?
A jewel of the southern sky, the Great Carina Nebula, also known as NGC 3372, spans over 300 light-years, one of our galaxy's largest star forming regions. Like the smaller, more northerly Great Orion Nebula, the Carina Nebula is easily visible to the unaided eye, though at a distance of 7,500 light-years it is some 5 times farther away. This gorgeous telescopic portrait reveals remarkable details of the region's glowing filaments of interstellar gas and obscuring cosmic dust clouds. Wider than the Full Moon in angular size, the field of view stretches over 300 light-years across the nebula. The Carina Nebula is home to young, extremely massive stars, including the still enigmatic variable Eta Carinae, a star with well over 100 times the mass of the Sun. Eta Carinae is the brightest star near the image center, just left of the dusty Keyhole Nebula (NGC 3324). While Eta Carinae itself maybe on the verge of a supernova explosion, X-ray images indicate that the Great Carina Nebula has been a veritable supernova factory.
