Can't believe that's just a happy coincidence!
Can't believe that's just a happy coincidence!
Well said.
What a weapons grade bell end...
Him, not you, obvs!
I feel that someone in law enforcement really should check his computer hard drive...
What's her beef with Bangor?
Thanks for this story Jay. I don't think you need to be a believer to recognise the importance of doing right by these remains and treating them with dignity and a bit of ceremony. Will now be keeping my eye out on graveyard walks for bones from now on though!
While I would often say that violence isn't the answer, I can't disagree with this!

Very true, Gaz!
Also need to use the phrase "weapons grade bellend" more in my everyday life! π€£
Without wishing to invoke Godwin's Law, it's got a real whiff of the whole Nazi "Jews aren't real Germans" thing going on...
My thought exactly - lucky no-one was seriously injured or killed. 'kin 'ell...
The whole piece is widely one sided. Where's the experienced or academic voices to put forward the case for floating bus stops? I don't even know if they work but my reflex reaction is that if the Telegraph doesn't like it, it's likely a good idea to make life better for the majority!

Predictable rage bait piece by the Telegraph. Suddenly everyone pretends to care about people with disabilities and think that Sadiq Khan's in hock to the 'cycling lobby'. Comments before also also as one might expect - ban bicycles as they're a menace is a fave...
I mean, there are always long tailbacks here at rush hour (one of the reasons I worked out it was quicker to cycle to work than drive). but going off the comments you'd think it was all the fault of the roadworks and the 'incompetent' 'clown' council (their words, not mine!)
Local council is installing a separate filter lane (and traffic lights) at the end of Ecclesall Rd in Sheffield where it meets a large roundabout. This adds on a couple of metres at best to the bus lane which is in operation throughout rush(s). The comments below the FB post are... predictable...
So true!
ππ alert...
She sort of gave herself away in ep 2 anyway with her comments to camera about there being more to come from her (or something along those lines)
EXACTLY!
Indeed, which is why she should have been brought back to the UK, tried in court and been able to have made the argument (as she has to my understanding) that she was, in effect, radicalised and regrets her actions. Doesn't mean she wouldn't be convicted but it would allow for mitigation.
Thank you for your column, Naomi. This really cuts through all the noise. I'm afraid it seems that we are led in politics and the media by deeply unserious people full of noise, bluster and jarring inconsistencies.
Reminds me a post I came across the other day: www.instagram.com/reel/DSyOFbf...
Nice. Moody AF (in a nice way!).
Also, Begum was a minor when she joined ISIS I thought? Strong argument that she was a child who was groomed and radicalised. Removing citizenship of anyone is an extreme move, and in her case seemed performatively cruel. Agree - should have tried her in the UK as we would anyone else.
Imagine having killed/injured many people with a legally owned shotgun and, having finally been released from prison, being allowed to reapply for a shotgun licence. Doesn't seem so much of an imposition then?
Alongside the @sheffieldtribune.bsky.social and the @manchestermill.bsky.social (I believe they're all sister publications), there's some really worthwhile journalism going on holding people to account for their despicable behaviour.
I just got hit with an unexpected (very small) tax bill due to savings gaining interest. My 2nd thought (after 'FFS' admittedly) was at least I was lucky enough to have savings that earned enough interest to be taxed on.
Add on this morning's news about cutting heat pump, solar and insulation grants and it's Labour doing David Cameron's "cutting the green crap". If they're serious about people's energy bills, why not address the situation where bills are linked to the wholesale gas price no matter how it's made?
Exactly Andy - everyone agrees it probably needs some tweaking from bike shops to users but to make it a big culture war thing is so very Labour at the moment. Β£4k electric bike - middle class wanker; Β£25k+ car - salt of the earth working class
Exactly this - rather than focus on the v small % that are taking the p*ss, highlight the wider benefits that the scheme has!
Plus, what evidence does the un-named source have that the weekend e-bikes riders on the Surrey Hills used the scheme to buy the bikes? Bias showing through...
Oh for an edit button....obvs should have read "more telling about the biases of the people looking at changing the C2W scheme"...π€¦
