I hate these charts so much because they imply chatgpt is comparable to the internet or phones
You could create the same graphic for full screen pop-up advertising on websites and make them look like ultra-rapid technology adoption when really they were just baked unavoidably into the internet
Compose 1.9 just hit beta01 & another exciting feature landing is a way to reliably determine if something is visible on screen & a way to get notified of visibility changes 📣
💅 New modifiers are entering the chat in this space: Modifier.onFirstVisible() & Modifier.onVisibilityChanged().

Woohoo, congrats! 🎉
I played around building a Compose Wasm PWA, and it’s amazing. Build times are a bit slow to my taste and on iOS you can’t paste in text fields - but otherwise this is really promising for simple use cases.

Photo of a model of the Medieval city of Bologna, with so many earthy pink tall skinny towers sticking up from every block of the terra-cotta-roofed town that it looks like plant seeds starting to come up in spring. Around the edge you can see the city's moat and battlemented walls, looking tiny compared to the towers which rise to six or seven times the height of the three-story buildings around them.
Looks fake doesn't it? This reconstruction of Medieval Bologna shows how Italian towns used to be a forest of towers, dense as Manhattan skyscrapers!
Here's a stable blog-formatted version of my thread from yesterday about the lost towers of the Guelph-Ghibelline wars www.exurbe.com/the-lost-tow...

I have seen this happen in few Reddit threads in the last year. Someone writes a fact in a comment. Somebody else comes in and corrects them. Usual Reddit, right? But recently I started seeing apology comments along the lines of "sorry ChatGPT's mistake". The guy doesn't even do a simple fact check.
