Bandcamp lets us keep 85% of revenue. That is the best rate of anybody out there. Over a period of about 15 years, I have taken home ~$3000. Every album is "pay what you want", so you all rock.
If you bought an album for $5 then you gave me more than streaming the whole album ~300 times.
I can't express how lucky and grateful I am to have people who want to support what I do despite not having a massive community. if you know an artist who you appreciate and youre able to do so, buy their music, merch, anything! streaming royalties aint shit lol and streaming services won't pay more
i'll just put my 3 cents here (haha get it) but in the 4 years of releasing music on streaming platforms i've amassed around 6 dollars that i've yet to receive cuz the minimum payout is $50.
On Bandcamp my music has made me 160 dollars, and that's thanks to all the people who went out to support me.
