Colour me curious!
I bought what I thought was a skinny quarter roll, but alas it was only 8β instead of 9β. So I changed my entire plan and started playing with HRTs instead. Previously Iβve hated HRTs, but Latifahβs Hurty ruler truly makes it easy. #quiltsky
Iβve mostly shifted over to Devonstone Solids, but theyβre an Australian brand and might not be readily available where you are.
With the lead singer from the Angels doing Achilles!
A short haired grey and white cat stares smugly at the camera from her snuggly sunbeam.
This is Artemisia, a sixteen year old Devon Rex who has been infill renal failure for six years now. She lives thanks to a combination of special food, subcutaneous fluid infusions, and hatred of the two tabbies who dare to share her space.
Happy to assist!
Do you need help?
π I am certainly feeling the love this morning!!
An excited woman points at the first prize notice on her quilt, which is a textual work of the first stanza of the Iliad, in Ancient Greek.
It won a prize!! I was so brave and put a quilt in a show and it won a first prize! Me! First prize! My whelm is overed. #quiltsky #royalcanberrashow
I love this. Weirdly, this concept came up in a TTRPG recently in respect of British aristocracy.
My tabbies do this too - stare at you as though you are the most incomprehensible and wondrous thing in the tiny bit of universe they can comprehend. How on earth could we deny them their adoration?
A grey and white devon rex cat, lying on a sunlit quilt. The quilt is made up of coloured wedges in autumnal shades.
A cat! On a quilt!
Those colours are so soothing. Also, I may have to rush off andbuy that patternβ¦
A book cover βAmberβ showing a woman in high fantasy armour holding two swords.
Amber DRPG, no question. I have run so many long sprawling games in this system.
Oof. Probably 1989, homebrew Star Trek. I remember coming across this brand new Vampire thing at a convention in Sydney a few years later and being blown away. Was writing for the local LARP club by the mid nineties and never looked back!
I have these books! My Mum gave them to me. Theyβre actually pretty great.
I also had a βfakeβ menopause 12 years ago due to chemo drugs, and am now fifty and still have the stupid periods. Every now and then my body kind of hints at maybe MP and then backs off. So I donβt know when the real one will come in!
The local Canberra RPG stuff is starting to be covered by the Pheno convention Discord, so yes, a general Australian one would be my preference!
::subscribes:: Would live a place to share info about local clubs and conventions!
Hard agree.
I think this was my favourite make in 2024. I was supposed to he cutting 45 degree angles and instead I cut 60s, so I had to improv the whole thing. I call it β60 in a 40 zoneβ. Just need to work how to quilt itβ¦
He truly did! He lived in Amsterdam through the hongerwinter.
Iβm adding another vote for Furies!
My 2024, according to TopNine, was mostly about one quilt! What I actually did was six new flimsies and seven completed quilts.
Always space for more Homerβ¦
I canβt wait for this one!
Iβd be into the non-fiction half of that!
My cat is also super into the Royal Canin renal food and will not touch any other brand. We only get one flavour here in Oz, so Iβm intrigued! Sheβs six years into full renal failure and still going strong.
It was in a bathtub with glasses of whiskey, and I totally married him!
