Our household finds itself in the midst of a family emergency, so if youβve been waiting to buy one of my drawings, now would be the perfect time! 50% off everything! Thank you all in advance for the support, and if nothing else, good vibes would go a long way.

Huh - interesting! I'll look into it. I'm actually doing something with the tax photos, hoping to better track what's been demolished but there are also a handful of places that are neither gone or still there but a secret third thing (relocated). Thank you!
Was it near Westport Rd? I'm guessing it was about the Harris Kearney House on Baltimore, which was definitely moved, but in 1922. I'll double check next time I'm over there - thanks!
From inside the 1940 KCMO limits, though? I haven't been there in 35 years and assume they're all from small towns, but don't see any details on their website. (This is related to the tax photo collection.)
I miss the robust KC Twitter hive mind of a decade ago, but I'm going to try anyway:
Can anyone think of any local buildings or houses that have been physically relocated post-1940, aside from the KC Young Matrons clubhouse that was at 51st & Oak?
They don't cream
And they don't dream in Kansas City
no, you are ascending
there are too many beans in my house :(
but i also ran into issues with points never posting to my rewards account and no one ever calling me back or replying to emails. i was just extremely unimpressed with them across the board and would always drive 15-30 minutes further to go anywhere else.
one of my dumb little personal hopes when they were renovating it was that they'd at least get rid of the dyson hand dryers with the plastic covers ripped off and moldy styrofoam insulation showing. they did not.
I do too, but the handful of times I went to that particular theater were not good and I havenβt been back in years so Iβm not shocked they closed
my fury about the unrenovated bathrooms finally brought them down
you might love it! my ex-husband came from a euchre family and the biggest issue is that they'd all be yelling different versions of the rules at me while i was trying to learn to play
no other card game has made me cry three times
In return, FIFA has claimed the U.S. will see money pour into states and cities via tourism and excitement surrounding games. Infantino last week said he expected FIFA revenues from the tournament to exceed $11 billion, but claimed that the U.S. economy will receive $30 billion in economic impact. "We may get a little more in meals tax and hotel tax," McGowan said. "But this is not a moneymaker for this town. In fact, it's probably more of a headache than it's worth. "This is nothing more than seven events up there. If World Cup wasn't coming, we'd probably have seven concerts in that time. Were not gaining much of anything by hosting this event. I think people need to know that too. This is not a lot of money coming into our town."
It's baffling that this type of things are only just now being said, and only just now being reported on.
This has always been the case. The projected visitor numbers, tax revenues and "economic impact" were made up BS and it's undergirded the whole dangerous fraud that is hosting this World Cup.
oh no
youβre constantly making a great case for Tulsa!
megwest is best
the second guy did better but still googled diagrams because he didnβt believe I knew where the battery was
Iβve been so mad at one movie
