I think being a shoe cobbler would be cool. House building is out for me. I've seen too many people ruin their bodies doing that for decades.
Is being a metal guitarist like Dan Spitz a prerequisite for watchmaking?

Does that mean theyβll finally turn the internet off on Monday after this
That was my first camera!
My answer is the Rollei 35 series. Tiny, pocketable 35mm cameras that are fully manual and you have to use zone focusing because the viewfinder is fixed. Some of them have great 40mm Zeiss lenses.
My step dad used a Rollei B35 mountain climbing in the 1970s.
I really liked season one too. The pacing in the early episodes was one of my favorite parts.
We have the Star Trek TNG one and itβs silly fun. Very frantic cuz you have a time limit and keep getting interrupted and yelled at by a Klingon who looks suspiciously like Gawron (same actor, but a different character) boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/52...
I feel like a lot of LED xmas style lights have a little bit of a flicker. Technology Connections had a video about these and said theyβre good, but I havenβt tried them yet. www.seasonsreflection.com/vintaglo

Ooh, Iβm doing a shed too. I got the foundation done, but havenβt ordered the rest of the materials yet. Iβm nervous there wonβt be any good weather in SE Alaska until next spring.
Thatβs cute! I like that itβs a two door. I feel like most that I see these days have 4 doors.
Afternoon sky mostly blue with clouds nearer to the horizon. Middle inside passage water reflects the sun light and distant islands. Below a rocky beach. Tightly framed by mossy trees.
Anyone in the PDX area switch from gas furnace to a heat pump? How was the experience?
Lorna suggested, βNew Order of Magnitude.β
Modest Trackpad.
Nine nm Nails.
:D just noting that you're not the only one wanting more beeps and boops. Maybe you can make a Vim 9 port.
Who could have predicted that in the year 2025 weβd all hate sparkles?
Not sure if they have anything special for non-profits. But Iβm a big fan of 1Password. My previous employer used and we use it for our family.
I feel like we need office pics now.
Blue huckleberries in the palm of my hand in the rain. Further down the boardwalk a very wet small dog.

This what ultimately swayed me in this air fryer direction. www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWPh...
Also I donβt think we really have the space of a toaster oven.
The nice thing about the air fryer only air fryers is that you can put the whole bucket thing and grate in the dishwasher. I waffled between that style and a mini convection oven and we ended up getting a 6 quart Instant Pot Vortex Plus. Weβve been pretty happy with it.
Curious if anyone has a more recent design patterns type (or software architecture) book that theyβd recommend over the Gang of Four book?
Maybe tailored towards monolithic Rails apps?
Literally no one:
My wife, off for the summer from her middle school teaching job: I kinda wish I had a history paper to write.
Portland friends, what do you think of Single Transferable Vote? I love this explainer, the best I've seen on the subject, just curious how it's working on the ground.
(Awww Gus.)
Agh, no-see-ums!
There's always SE Alaska. Though I can't help you with the mosquitoes, they're worse here.
I wish they had canceled a different, more boring, fantasy epic instead of this one.
I saw the sun for a minute on Friday. Does that count?
Only 2 months? It was raining when you were out of state too!
