I didn't work on those seasons but I'm almost 100% positive that was just a production/budget issue. It is NOT canon that all Oni share the same face (unlike for example, how it IS canon that all of Lee's bodies have the same face). There are different Oni faces.

The artwork here depicting the briefing room scene from ANH uses the actual design of the Death Star for the plans. The DS plans in the film was based on a preliminary design, and is therefore not accurate to the actual Death Star. So do these depictions supercede the film?

It always confuses me when licensed art depicts something differently to what we've already seen in live-action. Like is it canon now that Dodonna pulled up a hologram of the Death Star orbiting Yavin during ANH? Like this wasn't in the film. He's missing his rank plaque too.
