Well said … I was asked recently what will Senior Cycle reform look like in 10 years - I simply stated that teachers will do their best and make the reforms work but we’ll be left with a far greater social divide and potentially great disparity in performance from schools.

Delay to English & Accounting makes sense (let’s get it right folks) but a delay to the AACs in senior science also makes sense.
Well, the TUI have capitulated while the ASTI sit on the fence. While the document is presented loosely as reform supports, in reality it’s a contract for the unions. The 3% bargaining clause should never be linked to reform supports.
Breda O’Brien is spot on in her article in today’s @irishtimes.com - the Department have decided that bullying teachers into reform is easier than actually funding or supporting it properly.
