The ultimate single player / couch co-op block-pushing puzzler now has brand new DLC! Which I suppose means it wasn't ultimate. Well, it is now! Until the next DLC, obvs.

The DLC nobody wanted! For the game nobody bought! Gemima and the Ice Golem Fortress is coming to Steam this Monday, and there's nothing you can do about it HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Sun lamp: you're a lizard.
This isn't stupid. This is consciously malign.
He's using Signal because there's no digital paper trail. No way to satisfy FOI requests or hold a congressional hearing. He and Trump and everyone else involved know EXACTLY what they are doing and that it is illegal - and unpopular!
#GEMIMA, the co-op box-pushing puzzler, is live on Steam! And you can grab a free demo from Itch:

JFC that's rich. Tories obliterate SEND with cuts, then say VAT on private schools is wrong because it will force children into the system they fucked. Get in the fucking sea already you twats.
I would change pretty much everything about it, to be honest. I would forget about pushing the technology further and make it a more fun and interesting game. Make the levels part of a bigger more interconnected map, add AB-style shops for upgrading weapons, stuff like that.
It's almost Easter! And what could be more in keeping with the spirit of the season than a cute multiplayer game about rival Easter Bunnies brutally murdering each other in pursuit of eggs? Free now on Steam! #indie #indiegame #easter

So here's what an ex Reform candidate had to say when he was expelled over pro-Jimmy Saville tweets:
"I understand Reform have got to be careful."
Quite a lot of information packed into eight words.
One small step for #indie, one giant leap for... Uh. Probably just me. Yeah, me. Um.

The free #Steam demo of #DIEDIEDIE is finally LIVE! Very excited/nervous to see what (if anything) people think of it!

Let's set up a "control Amazon" website. Everyone gets to vote on what they want Amazon to do next, and if Amazon don't do it, we get notified to try and shop somewhere else until they capitulate.
This is the shit the internet is for. We don't have to do what they tell us
The fucking point of prime was no ads. That's why we paid for it. There is no economic justification for adding them other than "let's see if the plebs will swallow this shit."
Turns out this is gonna be a thread. Hang on...
Things I will never understand #2532165:
Games with photorealistic characters, perfect mo-cap, incredible graphics and sound, tens of millions of dev dollars splashed around on the screen...
...and you can't rebind all the interface keys. Just some of them.
Callisto Protocol, I'm looking at you.
If it weren't for their walled gardens and captive audiences, literally nobody would choose to publish through the major platform holders. It's like pulling teeth. Ironic that the most open platform has the most streamlined process. No wonder it's winning.
Then the Deck (a retail device) tells me how many watts the game is consuming to run (4.5 in 30fps eco mode)
The contrast with other platforms is stark. Endless forms and manifests and build versions to increment; sluggish, fragmented websites. Labyrinthine SDK versioning. Extortionate devkits.
What I like about the Steam back end and the Steam Deck is that they're clearly built for and by people who make games for a living.
It currently takes me less than a minute to build, upload, and deploy #DIEDIEDIE. New builds are there the instant I refresh the page.
Alien basically invented blue collar sci-fi.
Watching #Prime on a Firestick? Here's something to try.
We got fed up getting served ads during programmes, so for two nights, if we got a mid-programme ad, we quit Prime and switched to Netflix for the rest of the night.
We are now three nights without mid-programme ads on Prime.
#DIEDIEDIE is now almost fully playable on pad and Steam Deck - not bad for what started out as a point-and-click puzzler!

It's surreal watching a country elect a complete goddamn moron to be president and then tie itself in knots trying to avoid realising it.
So Dark Star (1974) has:
R2D2 in an x-wing, three years before Star Wars
Bishop's trick with the knife from Aliens
Close Encounters' musical sequence
And a frozen captain in the ship's basement a la Revelation Space.
That film has a lot to answer for.
Fantastic stuff :) Always good to see someone's work noticed.
Hey happy birthday :)
Don't want to toot my own horn, but my game has over 140 different Global Illumination settings.
And one of them actually does something...

Column A and Column B are both seeing a lot of action these days.
Still pixels.
More people need to do this. "I just had a terrific conversation with President Trump; really smart guy, and he's completely behind trans rights and putting Elon in his place. Expect big announcements soon. Very excited by this second term."
One home-brewed water shader later, #DIEDIEDIE has gorgeous hand-painted skyboxes instead of placeholder AI-generated ones.
Note to those painting skyboxes: don't neglect the lower half. Sometimes someone is going to want to set their game in the sky, and will be forced to turn to AI. #indiedev
I'm struggling to find a viable alternative to AI-generated skyboxes. There are loads of nice packs out there, but they're all Stable Diffusion generated. On the other hand, there doesn't seem to be any OTHER kind of hi-res 360 skybox available. Not sure what to do... Anyone got any suggestions?
