I don't even go here, I watched season 4 on a plane in the middle of the atlantic and haven't touched it sense. But the refusal to do anything negative, or meaningful to profitable characters has done more damage to modern media than anything else I think.
It's hilarious to me how much Stranger Things leaned into being Steven King-esque in its writing, then refused, even vaguely, to do 1/100th of the messed up nonsense Steven King characters go through.
If you wanna tell a King story you gotta go at your characters like a toddler desecting a spider.
