I caught up with The Amazing Digital Circus, and I LOVE it. It’s not what I expected at all, in the best way. The character writing is so solid, and it was so impressive to see (on a rewatch) the important information that’s woven in from the beginning. I’m excited (and scared) to see what’s next!

Since watching I Saw The TV Glow, I’ve seen several video essays deconstructing it. But, I haven’t see anyone mention the obvious use of the “bury your gays” trope. I feel like it had to be a purposeful inclusion in the film, and was used in a very weird and interesting way.

I saw Attack the Block in theaters wayyyy before Americans knew John Boyega. It was awesome on the big screen and I was an instant fan.

I love that you like your work! So many of us struggle with nitpicking elements within our own art, to the point of feeling negative about everything we produce. It’s a good reminder to self-analyze in a positive direction too.

Frankly, I struggle with hair, and I think of your work when I think of someone who is really good at drawing lovely, cohesive hair shapes in a recognizable style. Which I think is an enormous artistic strength of yours!
