... one day my parents dropped my ass off at a nightclub for kids that was called Roller Kingdom.
Star Wars was all the rage, and this place was everything that the nightclubs in Boston would become in my 20s. The disco ball, the music, and round and round we went. I met a girl and we skated around
If it ever goes anywhere, maybe someone on here will see it and get some value from it.
Who knows.
I just know I need something really interesting but not really stressful to keep me busy after what just happened. This sounds perfect.
Keep yourselves happy & busy, everyone. It's so, so important!
I have never tried a podcast, don't really know what to expect. I guess about 95% of everyone who tries, fails. So the numbers mean it's something you do because it calls to you, not because you expect success.
I may well fail at this, too. But it calls to me now, so I'm just answering that call.
I learned a lot about how bad everything was and is.
It is time to go explore the beautiful things that remain. If this be the beginning of the end, we need to make the best of it. And if this is just a big stumble, we need to make the best of it.
Whatever this is, we need to make the best of it.
You can help America just by making someone smile, instead of yell.
If the bad guys want to divide us and have us hate each other, fight back by speaking to your neighbors.
Hold that door open for someone. Let someone in during tight traffic, help ease road rage.
Do your part. Bring sunshine π
Smarter and more talented people than me can fight on and try to resuscitate our democracy while I heal myself and my family, and prepare to go help Americans handle change and loss, something I have had to learn about myself.
The fight for America is at both the macro and micro level now.
I just wanted you to know what comes next, and where you'll find me following my passions when I'm not here hanging with you guys.
I am going to do a variety podcast about fun & interesting things *outside* of politics.
Gonna try to make people smile and help them cope & adapt to a changing π
Friends, I am walking away from politics and the fight I was part of for years, but I am not walking away from America.
I never shared my background, but I am a civilian who studied war & conflict science, not a vet. I worked in TV & film a bit, have been on TV a bit, and started some businesses.
We do live in interesting times, my friend.
Cute!
I think i saw that 3/4 of us are now overweight or obese.

Bye-bye, Ozempic?
Say it ain't so, say so many after hearing that RFK Jr. wants them to go back to diet & exercise in modern, slovenly America -- where only some are now able to keep fit and lean
My question is: Can RFK Jr relate to people who don't work out with free weights and all that?
America owes the world over $30 trillion I believe. The big guys devised a plan, I think, to default on that debt, reset everything, and profit during the chaos.
America will still be here, but this debt we owe will be blown up. The shockwaves will be dramatic.
Prepare yourselves and your families
If you are looking to understand whay lies ahead for the American economy, you should imagine a business in tremendous debt, that has tremendous assets, and a friend sitting in federal court who will help him have an easy life AFTER he files bankruptcy and wipes out his debts.

As I exit this obsession, if I had any advice for those who are pushing on with the food fight:
You'd better find better leaders, and those leaders had better lead by evoking powerful emotions and feelings - not by triggering intellectuals to run off and read a book.
Passion > ideas. Learn this.
One thing the last several years proved?
Passion trumps intellectualism.
Humans who yell and scream and signal they're ready to fight handily defeated the side that relied upon intellectuals, moral outrage and talking heads.
Was like watching warriors fighting librarians, really. It didn't work.
𧡠My friends, I can not continue to live focused on hatred & division all day, every day.
This infowar stuff is toxic and bad, and 5 years of politics is enough self-harm for me for now, I say.
From here on out, I'm just coming on here to see old friends and shoot the shit. Love you guys.

𧡠Friends: I tried to help America but was not able to help America at all. I failed, tbh.
I failed, and I lost dear friends, loved ones, my dog, my reputation in places, and most of my money.
I'm tapping out. I won't be involved with politics or this big food fight any longer.
Throwback to the time we sat our cats down and told them we were adopting a dog. I cannot stress enough that this is the ACTUAL picture from that conversation π€£
FOIA docs obtained by @josephcox.bsky.social show the Secret Service talking about how they don't need a warrant to track phone locations because people "willingly" gave it away by agreeing to long terms of service docs for random apps

Authoritarians want you to betray each other but they also encourage you to betray yourself through an inner moral collapse- you give up your agency and let the leader "fix it," and you disregard your moral compass.
Sometimes, Hollywood nails it.
This scene captures the power consolidation phase. Later in the π¬ we see the mock trials and an unexpected escape from a hopeless dungeon. Fear & loathing smothers a big urban center, which gets cut off from land and loses its bridges. The National Guard comes out.

Coolness.
Nice. That one, Tyson and Buster Douglas, and Tyson Holyfield were all memorable.
And of course Tyson blowing through the heavyweight ranks before then. I didn't watch much beyond that.
Yep. Well said.
Did you see Hagler and sugar ray live back in the day? That was a helluva fight.
Sweet. I am so curious to see how he does. Paul better not shock us all.
