'The Perfect Neighbor' blew my socks off at Melbourne International Film Festival last year. Incredibly astute editing (Viridiana Lieberman) and directing (Geeta Gandbhir), harrowing in its grief, legacy and honesty. It left me reeling, and I am so happy that it was nominated for an Oscar.
In an effort to improve my discipline (also bc I am sick of spruiking live shows to prove I write) I started the writer's equivalent of a podcast. It's free. Still working on the discipline part (regularity). It's hopefully funny & defs short. This week's about chips.

Zombie kids, I did not like 28 Years Later, it felt like set up to me, silly in parts - as if a producer ordered 2 films instead of 1 (aka The Hobbit Protocol). BUT. Jack O'Connell turning up at the end as a bizarre Jimmy Savile post-apocalyptic gang leader made me go WHEEEERE WAS THIS EARLIER (1/2)
Bloody hell, rewatching The Boys S4 in 2025 is even more chilling than the first watch.
