I feel like as the guy who answers questions for DC fans I have to come up with another way to say “the writers do not think about characters in these terms” every day

If you do this you owe me money
Going to the bank right now to take out a loan to start a gym for Gen Z clients so I can call it the Aura Farm
Jokes laser targeted to murder specifically me
Right up there with turn and Jon Ar
This was a Jenna plot on 30 Rock
I feel like you’re only proving my point here
I don’t think it’s a matter of being a “sucker” but merely being misguided. You can still spend all your money on comics and have a better time doing it
“I am here not in spite of your behavior, but because it intrigues me and I need to know more”
Crossovers are fun, as long as you’re into both of the things crossing over
What separates Cassie from your typical Wacky Main Character Love Interest is that her version of straightmanning is not incredulity, but a curiosity to know more. Not “how dare you,” but “but how”
There are soooooooo many incredible comics, I don’t know why you’d keep going to this barren well unless you don’t know any better
Comic publishers when you complain about event comics interrupting the ongoing storylines you’re already invested in
I would agree with that.
They’re annoying to already regular readers, but sales numbers don’t lie. They’re designed to bring in the comic book curious, and those who have checked out and are looking for a way back in. They aren’t for you.
Final Night, Blackest Night, and I might allow an argument for DC One Million
There are like two good event comics, maybe three
Some of the tie-ins are interesting, but the main event is no better than most event comics. The purpose of an Event is to be a showcase to new and lapsed readers; not to be narratively coherent. If you’re looking for a good story, don’t look for events. #ngl
Oh yeah, I forgot he was in that.
You should get a doctor to check that out
A few times, in passing. In addition to coming up in the original Long Halloween and its sequel, Dark Victory, we also see him referenced on occasion throughout the Legends of the Dark Knight series set early in Batman’s career, and in Matt Wagner’s Batman: The Mad Monk. #ngl
I would like to propose that the “Cellar Door” of comics is “Batmobile” #ngl
Great plastic man expert Neil in town, to see him
Thank you Steve!
I’m not much of an event comics fan in general. Millennium is a classic example of an event putting a narrative burden on other titles to conform to its premise, forcing a “traitor” into each title.
Of those three, Legends is definitely my favorite. #ngl
This reminds me of a friend recently saying that from the perspective of Themyscira, Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor is a queer relationship
Analog skibidi
I had a friend named Zoby once. I think that was her name
