Title: On the sidelines, but still rooting for Angular
Posted on: November 11, 2025
Content: For the last few months, I’ve been involved in several projects where I barely interact with or use Angular, if at all. There’s a reason why I worked hard to become a GDE, though: it’s still my framework of choice, and I want to keep spreading the word about how it continues to get better and effective ways to use it, so I always stay in the loop.

We’re already so close to the v21 release, so aside from hyping up the shiny new stuff that’s coming, let’s also take a few steps back and talk about my favorite features and changes from a few older versions.

It's been a while since I shared any content or been active at all, for one reason or the other. I don't like falling behind, though, so I try to stay current.

On the heels of the @angular.dev v21 release, I wanted to recap some of my favorite changes... 1/

ng conf Perú was amazing!

Kevin and Jimy (GDEs) organized a great event and support from local GDGs gave it a boost

Could it become Latin America’s biggest Angular event? Next year’s is bound to be even better!

[css-ui] Standardize tooltip styling and expose as `::tooltip` · Issue #8930 · w3c/csswg-drafts Now that popover and anchor positioning are moving forwards, I wonder if it’s time to re-examine standardizing tooltip styling and adding a ::tooltip pseudo-element so that authors can customize it....

Exciting news! At the CSS WG f2f we just resolved to pursue a ::tooltip (name TBD) pseudo-element for styling native UA tooltips!

My proposal was the 5th time in 23 years it was brought up (and the 2nd time *I* brought it up — first was in 2012!): https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/8930
