Omgggg Thank you π₯Ή
This looks so cool!!
You found it! It's a fun thing for our community. Having little things in our blog gives more incentive to open it and "hunt" for something. A cute little moment to be a reminder that fans are fun and to loosen up in the best way. A reminder of whimsy - but cute! Our community managers are the bestπ
The devs who worked on snap turn are awesome! Big shout-outs to them:

Yay XR Accessibility! So proud of our new Snap Turn feature.
It was developed when snap turn was exactly what I needed. I had surgery, resulting in frequent down time, and this feature allowed me to playtest from bed without needing to turn my body. Owning this project made it much more meaningful.
You are!
Thank you Jaime!

Gamedev pro tip: sometimes you just need to add a butthole

I'm so grateful π©·ππ
It's an honor to be recognized alongside many talented women in the gaming space. Seeing my knowledge sharing of games accessibility resonate with the industry means so much to me.
If you want to to celebrate the powerful voices nominated this year, please vote now through 3/31/26 bit.ly/tghvoting
Jazmin is smiling wide, standing in front of the Owlchemy Labs company logo in their office. The text reads "The*GameHers Awards. Voting is open. Impact through education. bit.ly/tghvoting Powered by Capcut, Zenni, Corsair, LiquidIV, and Trovatrip. The graphic also has cherry blossoms!
I'm nominated for an Impact Through Education award @thegamehers.bsky.social! My commitment to making XR for Everyone, empowered by @owlchemylabs.com, surfaces through projects, blogs, and talks that show others how we make XR more accessible to people with disabilities. Creating impact is my goal π§΅
This article contains really good insights on designing for hand tracking and accessibility! It features some of my coworkers, including Emma Atkinson, Marc Huet, and @gaalexxy.bsky.social. They're super cool so check it out if you like XR ππΌ
So happy I get to work with these talented devs!

Day 2 of the XR Access Symposium! @peterjgalbraith.com and I are here to learn about the latest research in XR accessibility to bring back to our team, @owlchemylabs.com, and to chat about games accessibility with fellow attendees!
Please say hi if you see or hear us π #XRAccess2025
The auditorium where the conference takes place, with attendees in the seats facing a speaker on stage. The speaker is wearing an awesome blue jumpsuit with a pretty buckle detail!
XR Access Symposium is today and attendees include such an amazing mix of people: researchers, advocates, and developers! The amount of knowledge being shared is truly invaluable. I love this event!

Are there examples of games or apps in VR with captions for non-speech sounds, such as "BOOM" for an explosion or "SNAP" when a character snaps?
Non-VR games with captions would be great to see as well. #A11Y #XR #gamedev
This is something really awesome that folks may have not noticed.
Owlchemy is an 80 person company. These women are all Owls, all in technical roles, hosting a panel at PAX in 2025!
We have 33 women working at Owlchemy at all levels in all roles - from COO to JR and Programmer to Art Director.
Can't wait to see your next success, because when you win, we all win! ππ
Folks sit at a table in front of a backdrop with the Owlchemy Labs logo and wordmark over a purple background. Nearby, one person is putting on a VR headset. On the other wall is another backdrop featuring art from their game Hexas.
Infinite shoutouts to the ladies at @owlchemylabs.com who ran the Women Supporting Women in Gaming panel at #PAXEast β you were all amazing! ππ₯
Double shoutouts to Valencia, who I got to chat with at the booth! She sent me off with so much advice and great resources for pursuing narrative design π₯°β¨οΈ
We're here setting up for the panel!! So excited for this panel to start soon
Headed to Boston for #PAXEast! I heard a bunch of conversations about video games as I walked through the airplane and I'm even more hyped for PAX than I was before! It's my first time attending it π Can't wait!
Matching hair & eyebrows?! I love that so much!! Beautiful headshot π
Wore my pink Barbie Cowgirl getup to celebrate the launch of Hexas today! Super excited for y'all to see this new dimension! π
Arcades at airports. Was that ever a thing? I wish there was one where I'm at. I'd be there before all my flights!
Content Creators,
Do you regularly create content with your friends?
Do you like games like Overcooked or Chained Together?
Are you at least interested in VR games, if not already playing them?
Then I want to hear from you. I'm cooking some things up this year, and I want to connect with y'all!
Another VR design insight.
Embodiment! Your players want to be themselves role playing as someone in your world. They donβt want to be a βnamed characterβ.
Donβt do a βvoice in headβ instead the world should react to how they choose to play. Even if itβs not the βgolden pathβ.
I'm super excited for this talk happening today at 11:30AM! Daniel and Michael are fantastic and their talk will be fantastic as well ππΌβ¨
