Try living in France. Most places you aren't even allowed to say that you are a Ms or a Miss and CERTAINLY not a "Mx". The only place I know that allows for a "Mx" gets my custom every time.
I used to help an animal rescue charity in Goa, giving rabies, snips and other treatments. Once the tourists left, many poor dogs just formed little angry gangs, because they often had no alternative.
My memorable action was removing a whole video cassette tape from a choking cow in the street.
I might just ask for the bear right out matey.
A very hardy little plant in my street, with berries like peppers. I don't know its name.
Another tiny plant taking advantage of some water source in the intense heat and drought in the south of France.
This delicate-looking climbing plant has obviously found a water source in a cracked pipe or two and is thriving. It has survived a parched summer and seems to put out its tiny white-violet flowers all year long.
Another little plant that has found water and begun to grow. Note the strategically-placed cigarette end.
I love those little plants that spring up wherever they can. Here in last year's drought in Perpignan, these tiny things were thriving in the gutters and cracked paving stones, wherever they could find a drop of water.
Your pic is beautiful.
That is so lovely and cute xxxx Thanks xxxx
The man to his right is nodding, yet sending out a morse code cry for help with his eyes.
Queen😍
He was supplying Israel with billions in your dollars, your soldiers, bombs and intel to flatten Gaza and murder Palestinian mums and babies. The MSM did not torpedo him for that.
They have mortgages and children's private schools to pay for. And they want to be invited to "those" sorts of parties. So no, most of them will ignore you.
Drafting is that fantastic technique. I reckon most cyclists in the UK never learn it properly, due to hostile drivers and road conditions, but most French club cyclists do it all the time.
They may palpably not appreciate the company, most especially if you are a woman who is able to "catch up".
I know this from experience. Just zoom ahead if you can. I have nearly kilt myself trying this, mind you 😘
Femme, Vie, Liberté - un livre bande dessiné par plusieurs auteurs sur l’Iran xxx
Un livre plus récent et incroyable
Such a beautiful painting. I love how their song changes slightly over the season. But even so, once you learn it and who they are, you always recognise their little trill.
One of the few birds that have the same name as their call. Cuckoo another one.
I am already thinking pumpkin soup, Amsterdam (yum, cafedejaren.nl). Jazz club www.bimhuis.nl/en). Film nights ( www.eyefilm.nl/en). I am so spoiled there just on day ONE. Then off to Haarlem and other towns. I should really live there!
Very clean by the way!
i get that completely. Your little beauty and your little steed xxx
My terrasse after the tempest smashed my neighbours' glass screening and covered both my terrasses with tiny pieces of broken glass. I found a little male blackcap on this terrasse, totally wet through and covered in chunks of glass. He seemed resigned to whatever his destination was his due. That was depressing. After a sip of water, a few hours in a little box of warm fluffy socks and a tiny scrap of gravlax, he perked up. I put him out on the terrasse overnight, and by morning he was gone. We have no predators here, so high up.
No. My neighbours' glass barriers smashed in the tempest and teeny bird found himself in the middle of it. I admit I gave him a sip of water and a tiny blob of Gravlax. Now I know better, having read online how to look after birds in peril, but he DID survive.
Campaigner at World Social Forum has his face painted with a slogan against oppression.
One westerner relaxes on the beach holding hands with a cow, while another cow stands by. The sea is behind.
Dad is taking his little son to school on his lovely bike, amid the chaos of the World Social Forum and all the demonstrations that are going on there. I wonder if they will remember this massive event in the future?
These three Tibetan monks in their Buddhist gowns are singing "Imagine" in their language. This is a very moving event.
Last time I used actual film I had slightly wrong film, also B&W, but I still love the pics I took of the World Social Forum in Mumbai in 2004. I have many more!
A blackcap lying prone on my terrace in France, when my neighbour's big glass screen shattered in a tempest. I put him in a box on top of warm dry socks. He flew off fine a few hours later!
Next day - two visits from female "rougequeues", very interested in my balcony olive bush. Les bienvenues!
My lovely T-Line Brompton by the seaside at Collioure, France. The sea is deep turquoise and the sky is pale turquoise. There is a large expanse of paving and my bike is in the foreground under the hot sun.People sunbathe, chat and picnic in the background. Lovely!
That is how my lovely Titanium Brompton sneaked into my collection. What a useful little thing it is! Trains, aeroplanes, buses, theatres, opera, yes and on the beach, it can go everywhere. But NOT in the public libraries in the south of France oh no. Don't ask me why 🤷♀️
Well done there x
Lovely! I think that was during one of the later London Skyrides. The first one, in 2007, was a short circuit on closed roads called London Freewheel. Hovis was the sponsor and the free sandwiches were just delicious.
Méral late 1970s strange looking French steel frame though the frame was manufactured in the UK by Reynolds
2007 orange Condor steel road bike which has been my constant companion on many adventures like Santiago de Compostela rides etc. Also commuter rides for many years.
2019 red Condor steel road bike when I had left my orange bike in Spain and could not get hold of it. I have barely ridden this one.
All my bikes are steel...except a titanium one that crept in somehow.
All those deferential f@cks sucking lemons looking so deferential to their Master.
I want Reform to be far, far lower than second for obvs reasons. And I want Labour to be far, far lower than third, for all the evil, Machiavellian backstabbing they have done to the Left of the party. If Reform and Labour even get one per cent, I will be very sad.
