It definitely did. The first real programmable machine for me and the change to combine electronics with a new hobby. I remember adding a DIN socket to a dk' electronics keyboard case to be able to connect my homemade joystick. I had to sell my ZX81 to afford a ZX Spectrum but I kept the joystick π
