A Kentucky bill wanted to help Bourbon & Beyond and Louder Than Life. It doesn’t – for now Lawmakers plan to 'fix' legislation that mistakenly omitted tax incentives for large Louisville music festivals, the bill's sponsor says

From @marcusgreen.bsky.social: A #kyga25 bill that quickly morphed from 4 to 147 pages with late amendments had an error in it that would not deliver the tax breaks intended for LA-based Danny Wimmer Presents to do Louder Than Life and Bourbon & Beyond music events in Louisville.

Kentucky moves closer to new rules for the fast-growing THC seltzer industry. Supporters say it's an attempt at 'parity.'

Secrecy shrouds campaign to form new suburban city in Louisville Metro No lobbying or campaign finance rules apply to the push for a new city of Eastwood — leaving the identities of interest groups in the dark.

In allowing citizens to petition for new suburban cities in Jefferson County, Kentucky lawmakers created a grey area that requires no lobbying or campaign finance disclosures on a very public policy matter — as seen in the battle for a new city of Eastwood.

Kentucky leader says tech groups pushing for expanded tax breaks for data centers Developers announced plans for a 153-acre data center campus in Louisville last month in part due to Kentucky legislation exempting sales taxes from computer and other gear.

In 2024, Ky. lawmakers approved tax breaks for data centers--the server farms that handle digital data--in Louisville. Months later, developers unveiled plans for one.

There's now interest in expanding the subsidies to rural Kentucky, according to the Senate president.
