The art my class completed after learning about The Holocaust during our WW2 topic. We also discussed which rights would have been denied if the charters had been around then. I think they captured the emotion and mood of the prisoners well. #GlobalCitizenshipEducation @howdec.bsky.social
As part of our WW2 topic and with the lead up to Holocaust Memorial Day later this month, we learned about the story of Arek Hurst and retold it as our writing task today. The children we amazed hearing what one person had suffered and how he managed to survive.

The silence from my class as they listened to Ross Mackenzie read from the final book in the trilogy was immense. They broke out into a round of applause when he was done. I knew then that I had to buy them. They still remember The Nowhere Emporium and it’s magic from 2 years ago.

I am looking to put together a unit of work for 2nd level CfE on the effect of climate change on the oceans (focussing on Scottish waters but touching on global waters). The warming of the waters and the changes to the ecosystems. Any signposts to info or people much appreciated. #LifeBelowWater
