Fluorogenic oligonucleotide cleavage probes with a branched linker improve RNA detection Abstract. Fluorescent probe-based quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) is essential for DNA/RNA quantification widely used in research and clinica

Long story: doi.org/10.1093/nar/.... Shorter story: nucleic acid πŸ§¬πŸ‘©β€πŸ”¬chemistry (a flexible glycerol linker) resulted in modular synthesis of DNA probes with the quencher closer to the fluorophore, allowing ~single molecule detection of viral RNA by qPCR amplification & excellent multiplexing capacity!
