We would probably see them in my home city too if some of the drivers here didn't have a bizarre habit of stopping in the middle of the intersection to make turns.
"Yield to oncoming traffic" is a suggestion here.
Turns out that's a pretty big crash hazard for waymos.
I underclocked the ram a bit when the prices skyrocketed out of fear that if they randomly died, I would be screwed on having a gaming computer.
Yeah somehow through sheer dumb luck, I managed to upgrade my computer when 64 GB of DDR5 was $300. I'm serious.
AI made those same exact sticks $1700 now.
Jeeze... no wonder they left moderation up to the community for the first two years of BlueSky's beta phase.
When a tiny bit of pushback leads to an existential fold... people here were incredibly polite about the matter compared to a lot of the internet cultures.
The trick is to just give Inertia the middle finger and then that will 100% work.
Unfortunately tech has a real bad tendency of reinventing the wheel for the sake of doing so.
I guess it's also what keeps a lot of software engineers paid. That perfectly fine application written six years ago? Needs to be rewritten because....???
Going through a security training module that basically summarizes that using "External AI" is strictly against company policy. ๐
I suppose a scorched-earth policy is better than trusting employees not to do something stupid with it. Fair.
Suppose it depends on what you consented to. ๐
Sorry your bank account has been terminated. The AI Agent said that you were operating a terrorist operation out of a basement somewhere in Montana and automatically removed all traces of your account. There's nothing we could do.
The future techbros want.
Best we can do is create a chatbot that reinforces delusions.
Small towns can end up getting away with a lot of weirdness like that when nobody cares enough to ask questions and it doesn't really hurt anyone.
The rent prices were pretty good so I hardly cared other than it being funny. Better than anything now.
It was one of those situations where the apartments weren't technically "rented" from the paperwork standing. They were just "abandoned buildings" that happened to have tenants. Probably illegal.
How many strokes did he have writing that?
I have zero clue what he's even talking about. It's just insane rambling.
I remember having a landlord who insisted on being paid in cash and had handwritten "you paid rent for this month" notes he handed out.
I found it a little funny because I knew he only did that to avoid paying tax on it and justified it by keeping the rent costs lower.
I don't know if that's evil
Yeah it's always weird when upper management gets shuffled around.
My bosses boss was replaced and we suddenly got a whole lot of obnoxious team building mess but otherwise work is the same as usual.
Thankfully at my work we haven't really embraced AI Coding yet because there are serious consequences to defects. Both financial and legal.
Especially when you have that one lazy coworker that would be a technical debt disaster using AI Tools but would "look productive" to management.
Yep. Such tools can not be reliably used for code review because they can't actually validate the logic itself is right.
The best they can do is gravitate towards most likely logic but that may not be what your code is supposed to be doing and thus the AI Tools will mislead you.
Yep. The Spaghetti Coders just got a lot faster at creating Technical Debt and that becomes your problem and it becomes my problem.
It's mainly going to be annoying for me because i'm required to use a windows laptop for work. No way to get around that one.
But my home computers have been on linux for a long time.
It's almost always the Kernel-Level Anti-Cheat that causes troubles with Linux Gaming.
No game should be allowed to tamper with your operating system but...
Damn. Someone will figure out a way to jailbreak that i'm sure.
Probably a program that periodically simulates a subscription reactivation.
Erg. Hate it when that happens.
Especially since it'll usually happen an hour before the actual scheduled time.
Like shit... my whole day was wasted in Wait Mode only for them to cancel at the last moment.
Yeah it'll have to be a Hoop House design since the city is very particular about what counts as a "permanent structure" and thus counts as property tax.
Which is annoying but that's how zoning and taxes go I guess.
I guess it separates the line between "this is porn on the internet" vs "this is something beautiful I helped someone make". Since a person commissioning something is at least somewhat involved in the planning and ideas.
Which makes it more special in my view.
Mainly I just used Fansly for custom video commissions from time to time.
Personalized stuff obviously costs a lot more but it feels... more personal... I really don't know how to explain that. ๐
Yep. Fansly works pretty well and is about what a person would expect. The messaging works fine, the different tiers work fine, etc.
When it warms up (probably next month), i'm really looking forward to putting a greenhouse in the backyard for the bigger stuff that I can't grow in my bedroom.
The question is if i'll have the mental energy to actually maintain them... but we'll see.
Food stamps (much like disability assistance) is deliberately made to be a pain in the ass to discourage people from trying to get it.
It can take a long time and a lot of appeals in some states. ๐ซค
Cherry Tomato plants in my bedroom. Three weeks since planting.
Happiness is some greenery in the bedroom. ๐
New Tomato Plants.
Three weeks since planting from seeds.
The last box produced an insane amount of cherry tomatoes so of course I had to dedicate three more boxes.
