Part 2 showing my healing
another @spokanesequential.bsky.social zine submission! this issue's theme was "curse" so i wrote about the first time my recurring carpal tunnel ruined my life, which of course only made it come back immediately after drawing this and i have been haunted ever since

"The next issue's theme is STAR" says the text, while an astronaut walks a star-shaped dog-like thing on a leash along a moon-like planet. In the distance, other star-shaped dog-things gather around a fire hydrant

I'm working on the cover for the next issue of @spokanesequential.bsky.social and I am proud to report I've drawn the gayest vampire ever.
Red State Resilience. I made this comic, which @spokanesequential.bsky.social published in their September issue.
The situation in Idaho is grim. But we have solidarity and hope as long as we have each other.

Every other art form i have tried BESIDES comics, is less difficult than comics.
Its CRAZY how much work comics is. Its exhausting. Its so much endless labor.
On the other hand now everything else feels easier so now i am very powerful like a shonen anime character taking off his limiters.
Lovely "Curse" flyer by Nanette Cloud, showing an unlucky person getting zapped by lightning and an invitation to make comics for Spokane Sequential. Perhaps making comics could have prevented this tragic fate...
We're still taking submissions for the next Spokane Sequential, through Monday October 6! For submission details you can hit up our website right here: spokanesequential.neocities.org/submissions

A headless horseman-type figure (no horse though) is pushing his pumpkin head around on a dolly. The head looks pretty happy about it.
It's next issue prompt time! We'll be aiming for an October release, and the suggested theme is "Curse." (Try not to go overboard on swearing.) Submissions are open through Monday, October 6. Full guidelines and a page template are on our webpage, and we can't wait to hear from you!

A "call for submissions" poster. "Burning the midnight oil to get those wild things out? Have a little extension!" Text is accompanied by a picture of an old man and his floppy cat searching for something by candlelight. A large cow looms ominously behind them.
We're pushing our deadline back for the next issue a tad, so anybody rushing to finish this Friday (or thinking of starting right now!) has all of next weekend to finish up, if they like working on comics on weekends, anyway! (We certainly do!) The new date is Monday, Aug 11, hope to see you then!
Three panel comic reflecting on how noisy and happy and carefree I was as a child, while now as an adult I am........... less so
my latest comic for @spokanesequential.bsky.social following the theme βnoisy,β i went a little more serious with this one than my previous submissions inspired by what iβve been up to in therapy :')
you can read more comics in the full issue on their neocities site!

Incidentally, with this issue, the total comic pages in the "rebooted" Spokane Sequential has surpassed the total pages in the old one! (You can read those on the website, too!) It's not a contest or anything... I just like to observe number go up.
Feel free to get inspired by these and send something in for the next issue--we're taking submissions through August 8! :D
