it took me a few goes to get into it. the muddy production hid the good shit going on under the surface. i think their debut did a better job of circumventing that
schlagenheim came out around the time i graduated from uni and entered the working adult world (albeit on the other side of the globe). i admired how sure it was of its eccentricities and wish i could’ve been that way. that was important during one of my hardest depressive phases. RIP matt.
